(Neu-Isenburg, 13.12.2018) Opera, theater, cabaret, exhibitions and concerts - there is a lot going on in Dresden and the variety of events contributes to the fact that the historic metropolis is worth more than one trip.
This is especially true in July 2019, when Harley-Davidson celebrates the Harley Days Dresden one of the highlights of the motorcycle season in the magnificent capital of Saxony. The major event, which took a year off in 2018, will once again make Dresden the hub of the German petrolhead and V-twin scene from July 26 to 28, 2019. The venue for people, music and engines will once again be the Rinne, an open-air area covering more than eight hectares at the trade fair center in the heart of the city, which is also easily accessible by public transport.
Here, visitors will find a festival tent city with traders and restaurants as well as a large Main Street, which can be conquered by the guests' bikes. The shopping area offers everything from bandanas, helmets and jewelry to custom parts to make bikers' hearts beat faster, and of course there is also an open-air stage where a number of strong live bands will be performing every day. Anything but normal are the crazy, sometimes bizarre and always fascinating custom bikes - motorcycles to dream about, which will face the strict judgment of an expert jury at the custom bike show. Motorcycle license holders can climb into the saddle of a 2019 Harley-Davidson and set off on a test ride.
Winding roads in the middle of one of the country's most important national parks, Saxon Switzerland, can be found just a few kilometers from Dresden - for example on guided tours by the regional H.O.G. chapter. And participants in the big motorcycle parade, which will lead right through Dresden, will get an impression of the charm of the city, which is over 800 years old. The Frauenkirche, Residenzschloss, Semperoper and Zwinger are just four of the many sights along the route - a journey back in time to past centuries for the participants and a fascinating sight for all onlookers, which will be duly celebrated.
In addition to the numerous hotels and guesthouses in Dresden, the campground next to the event site is also available for overnight stays.
