Anyone who can't afford or doesn't want a Harley and has never owned one should just shut up. Envy is a „bitch“ 😉
Moin, mmh what is that? Colors, a half-baked S, fat tourer and technology that I get at ktm, etc. For years I've been getting them for 10t and up, but here they cost 3 times as much... Where are the new bikes? Harley is becoming unaffordable and the myth of the good resale value should be examined...anyone who has ever wanted to sell a Harley realizes painfully that the iron simply doesn't bring anything anymore...and the battery removal and installation on the new softtails is an imposition...to me it's all too much adulation...one customer less....
Then you just have to go to KTM, the manufacturer is not exactly known for bargains, maybe have a look at Suzuki as a tip, they build cheap motorcycles. Incidentally, I don't know of any KTM with cornering ABS, RDRS system or C-TCS. Where else did Brembo come from? And if you want to sell an unmodified Harley, the Sportster, Street Glide and especially the Street Bob are very good at retaining their value! Maybe just don't compare apples with oranges, and Harley-Davidson has never claimed to be cheap.
Well then, have fun with KTM...
I bought a brand new 1190 Adventure 4 years ago: After three months, the display was defective... The ABS failed twice... If you have panniers or a top case on it, you should never ride faster than 150 km/h, as it starts to oscillate... over 170 km/h is life-threatening! And when I sold it after a year, KTM had reduced the new price by almost € 4,000... so the resale value was zero!
As I said: Have fun with the KTM! Just don't be annoyed if you are overtaken by a Harley while traveling 🙂
Objection: The resale value is still very high, I have the 17th machine in 25 years because I like the innovations and such resale prices bring tears to the eyes of other motorcycle and car dealers. Loss of value 10 % in the first year.... who should type that?
