600km across the country with the Harley-Davidson Street Glide CVO

On Monday I did a 600km tour from Montabaur to Plön in one go with the Harley-Davidson Street Glide CVO . Otherwise you're more used to the old Evo from the 80s, but it's exciting to ride a Harley that's one of the best that the Harley forge in Milwaukee has to offer us.

comparing an old Evo with a new Harley-Davidson Street Glide CVO Harley-Davidson Evo worked really hard physically, you can tell on the Harley-Davidson Street Glide in the bones, almost nothing from the tour, that's exactly what it's built for!

You can really cruise with it on the country road, or like me, just drive a 600 km route in 8 hours on the motorway, I drove about 130km/h for 2/3 of it, that's possible in a totally relaxed manner, with cruise control in and cruise.

The rest can be done more quickly, it can do that well, it pulls strongly up to the top, under certain circumstances it can rock up, which will surprise an inexperienced driver, what exactly this is connected with remains to be found out.

This could be due to the seating position, or the suspension settings, as well as tire pressure, etc., I only had this happen twice, once a bad transverse joint on the highway was to blame and the second time it was the wind, it just happens.

When driving confidently - both on the highway and across country - I noticed a consumption of 5.8 liters per 100 km. The tank has a capacity of 22.7 liters, including a reserve tank of five liters. The system is perfectly coordinated so that as soon as the reserve light is activated, the navigation system also kicks in and offers suggestions for the nearest gas station. This allows you to target your preferred gas station brand, which is conveniently shown directly on the display.

This means that long stretches can be completed comfortably, but the machine is not only fun on the motorway, it is a real all-rounder, even when moving 400 kilos, the narrow turning circle is helpful when maneuvering and it feels just as at home on country roads.
