Los Angeles – It was supposed to be just a short ride, but it ended in the hospital: Hollywood star George Clooney and his girlfriend, cocktail waitress Sarah Larson, had a motorcycle accident.
While overtaking, they collided with Clooney's Harley and a Mazda – and ended up in hospital.
According to the US magazine People, Clooney suffered a hairline fracture to a rib in the crash in New Jersey. Clooney's spokesman Stan Rosenfield said the injury was very painful and would take a long time to heal.
Sarah Larson broke her foot and suffered abrasions to her face. The couple were treated at Palisades Medical Center in North Bergen, New Jersey, and have since been discharged.
The person responsible for the accident is still being investigated. Clooney told the police that he was driving on the right side of the road when the Mazda driver passed him and then turned right. The driver, however, says that it was Clooney who caused the accident when he tried to pass cars in the right lane.
