Adria Magistrale Road Music. 230 kilometers of Croatian coastal road with a classic rock soundtrack
The Adriatic Magistrale is considered one of the most beautiful coastal roads in Europe. For the new episode of Harleysite Road Music, we took the Harley-Davidson Road Glide Special on the legendary D8 from Zadar via Senj and Crikvenica, Rijeka to Ljubljana. 230 kilometers of coastal road, recorded in 4K and accompanied by a cool classic rock and blues rock soundtrack.
The route from Zadar to Rijeka
The route takes you along one of the most impressive stretches of the Croatian Adriatic coast. From Zadar, the route first heads northwest to Starigrad, the gateway to Paklenica National Park. The D8 then follows the coastline via Karlobag and Senj to Novi Vinodolski and Crikvenica. The final destination is Rijeka, from where the journey continues via Ljubljana.
The stretch between Karlobag and Senj is considered by motorcyclists to be one of the most spectacular passages in the entire Adriatic Highway. Here the road winds directly along the coast, with a view of the offshore islands and the Velebit mountains behind it. Tight bends, changing elevation profiles and a panorama that is second to none.

Harleysite Road Music. The concept
Harleysite Road Music shows the most beautiful roads in Europe from the driver's perspective. Without commentary, without interruptions. Just the road, the sound and the feeling of freedom on two wheels. Each video shows a complete route in full length, recorded in 4K and accompanied by a specially produced Classic Rock and blues rock Soundtrack.
The format combines two passions: Motorcycling and handmade rock music. New videos appear regularly on the Harleysite YouTube channel.
The soundtrack
The film is accompanied by eight tracks that pick up the rhythm of the route. From a quiet start to dynamic passages and a relaxed finish, the music adapts to the character of the coastal road.

The Harley-Davidson Road Glide Special
A Harley-Davidson Road Glide Special from the 2023 model year is being ridden. With the Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine and the distinctive Shark Nose Fairing, it is the ideal touring machine for long coastal roads. The frame-mounted fairing ensures stable wind protection even at higher speeds, while the infotainment system delivers the right sound via the Boom Box GTS.
The Adriatic Magistrale. A road with history
The Adriatic Magistrale, officially classified as D8, stretches for 643 kilometers along the Croatian Adriatic coast. It connects the Slovenian border at Rijeka with the Montenegrin border at Dubrovnik and is one of the most famous highways in south-eastern Europe.
Originally developed in the 1960s as the main connecting road along the coast, it lost some of its through traffic when the A1 highway was built. This is an advantage for motorcyclists: less truck traffic, more space on the winding sections and the opportunity to enjoy the coastal landscape in peace.
