Extensive model updates at Harley-Davidson
In addition to the brand-new V-Rod Muscle, numerous model updates to other models ensure that the Harley-Davidson portfolio for 2009 is the most attractive the Motor Company has ever offered.
The most important innovation benefits the Touring family: the Road King and Electra Glide models, as well as the Street Glide, benefit from a new frame that is 67 percent stiffer, a new swing arm, new wheels, and new tires. The cylinders are now also completely black, and the new pewter-colored engine coating gives the block a classic cast iron look.

Most Sportster models will feature optimized handling thanks to newly tuned suspension struts.
The Sportster models also feature a new, flatter front fender that minimizes the distance between the fender and the tire. It is also used on Softail and Dyna models with 19- or 21-inch front wheels.
