On the first weekend in April, Augustfehn will ring in the 2016 motorcycle season with the spring meeting
(Augustfehn, February 18, 2016) When the Börjes brothers, managing directors of Börjes American Bikes, and Lars Eyhusen from Börjes Bikers Outfit call, motorcycle fans flock to Augustfehn year after year. On April 2nd and 3rd, the atmosphere around the ironworks area will be simmering again and the Lower Saxony town of 3,000 inhabitants will be transformed into “Bikerfehn”, the two-wheeled El Dorado in the north of the republic. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both days there will be a mega party for all fans of gasoline, leather and rock 'n' roll. Motorcycles line the streets, people meet for chats, enjoy food and drink at the food stalls, the hustle and bustle of the market with numerous bike-related vendors, a large motorcycle exhibition, countless new and used bike offers as well as the XXL flea market on Sunday. On both days, spectacular trial stunt shows with Fred Crosset, Chris Bruano and Mike Hendricks ensure extra adrenaline.
In the eye of the hurricane, Börjes American Bikes is hosting a big test ride campaign. Since the “Harley on Tour” truck has arrived, a whole armada of brand new 2016 machines from the USA are available. Even the limited special models CVO Street Glide and CVO Road Glide Ultra are included. Right next door you can marvel at custom bikes, including those from the Harley “Battle of the Kings” competition. And of course there is the new Harley-Davidson fashion collection for the summer as well as attractive tuning, conversion and accessory offers. Across the street, Börjes Bikers Outfit offers motorcycle clothing from other well-known manufacturers and a helmet test ride to find out whether you can really get warm with the new head protection.
Meanwhile, the Eisenhütte takes care of hungry stomachs and dry throats with its experience gastronomy for bikers. From the large terrace you can enjoy the view of the hustle and bustle while you relax in peace with cake or something savory. A hot tip: There are still dates available for befitting biker weddings here this year.
Regardless of whether you belong to the cruising group or are committed to the long-distance experience, the knee grinding or the off-road riding, the spring meeting simply inspires everyone who wants to ride on two gasoline-engined wheels!
