The House of Flames is Dealer of the Year
The industry magazine “World of Bike” honors Harley-Davidson Munich and Ulm.
A Harley-Davidson dealer has been awarded the title for the sixth time
(Neu-Isenburg, August 3, 2017) For 17 years, the industry magazine “World of Bike” has been organizing the “Dealer of the Year” competition among German two-wheeler specialist dealers. In 2017, the top-class jury awarded the coveted title to the House of Flames, the Harley-Davidson authorized dealer with two branches in Munich and one in Ulm.
A passion for business that can be felt in all aspects of the market and brand presence, a modern, service- and customer-oriented business approach and a clever range of products were the core criteria that - alongside various other aspects - had to be assessed by the jury. And the House of Flames confidently prevailed against its competitors from all parts of the republic. “Courage, entrepreneurial spirit, clever ideas and a can-do mentality are rewarded,” comments Klaus Hüttinger, publisher and editor of “World of Bike”.
“For us, this award is a fantastic success, and we are pleased about the enormous appreciation of our work,” admits Walter “Zabel” Maygatt, known in the US motorcycle and custom scene since 1984 and managing director of the “House of Flames”. As an authorized Harley-Davidson dealer, he opened his headquarters in Ulm-Ringingen in 1999. Two years later, the first dealership was launched in Munich, and the second followed in 2011 - with the same awareness of style and details, but this time even included a large catering area.
Zabel's son Sascha is now the second managing director in the company - he manages the Ulm store. As in Munich, in addition to new and used bikes, accessories and clothing, the company's “specialties” include individual conversions and performance upgrades, and both here and there the spectrum of visitors is impressive: from die-hard “hardcore bikers” to funk stars and television everything is represented. No wonder, after all, not only Zabel and Sascha have obviously lost their hearts to Harley-Davidson, but also their around 50 employees in sales and workshops: in all three House of Flames branches, the brand from Milwaukee is “lived” with heart and soul .
