House of Flames is Retailer of the Year
The industry magazine „World of Bike“ honors Harley-Davidson Munich and Ulm
For the sixth time, a Harley-Davidson dealer is awarded the title
(Neu-Isenburg, August 3, 2017) For 17 years, the industry magazine „World of Bike“ has been organizing the „Dealer of the Year“ competition among German bicycle dealers. In 2017, the high-caliber jury awarded the coveted title to House of Flames, the Harley-Davidson dealer with two branches in Munich and one in Ulm.
A passion for business that is evident in all aspects of the market and brand presence, a modern, service- and customer-oriented business approach, and a smart range of products and services were considered the core criteria to be assessed by the jury, along with various other aspects. And House of Flames confidently prevailed over its competitors from all parts of the country. „Courage, entrepreneurial spirit, smart ideas, and a can-do attitude are rewarded,“ comments Klaus Hüttinger, publisher and editor of „World of Bike.“.
„This award is a tremendous success for us, and we are delighted about the enormous appreciation of our work,“ says Walter „Zabel“ Maygatt, who has been well known in the US motorcycle and custom scene since 1984 and is the managing director of „House of Flames.“ As an authorized Harley-Davidson dealer, he opened his flagship store in Ulm-Ringingen in 1999. Two years later, the first sales office was launched in Munich, followed by a second in 2011—with the same attention to style and detail, but this time including a large dining area.
Zabel's son Sascha is now the company's second managing director and runs the Ulm store. As in Munich, the store's „specialties“ include new and used bikes, accessories, and clothing, as well as custom conversions and performance enhancements. And here, as there, the range of visitors is impressive: from die-hard „hardcore bikers“ to radio and television stars, everyone is represented. No wonder, since it's not just Zabel and Sascha who have clearly lost their hearts to Harley-Davidson, but also their 50 or so employees in sales and the workshop: in all three House of Flames branches, the brand from Milwaukee is „lived“ with heart and soul.
