Biker talk on Monday about the new 117 VVT Milwaukee-Eight
What has really changed in the Limited models 2026 and why model history plays a role in this
On Monday, March 23, 2026 at 7 p.m., the biker talk on YouTube, Facebook and Twitch will be about one of the most discussed topics of the current season. Harley-Davidson has the Milwaukee-Eight VVT 117 with variable valve timing for the first time in the regular Limited models. We discuss what this means in concrete terms, what the differences are to the previous 114 and why this step represents a turning point for the entire Touring range.

Variable valve timing out of the CVO niche
Until now, VVT technology was reserved for the expensive CVO models with the Milwaukee-Eight 121. From model year 2026, it will be incorporated in the 117cc V-Twin of the new Street Glide Limited and Road Glide Limited. The engine delivers 109 hp and 175 Nm of torque. However, the real innovation is not the peak power, but the way in which the power is delivered across the entire rev range. In Biker Talk, we take a look at what this means in practice and where the limits of this technology lie.
From the Ultra Limited to the Street Glide Limited
Harley-Davidson has also redesigned the model structure with the 2026 Limited models. The Ultra Limited and the Street Glide Ultra are history. They have been replaced by the Street Glide Limited (FLHXL) and the Road Glide Limited (FLTRXL). This is more than just a name change. On Monday, we take a look back at the development of the full-dresser line, from the Electra Glide to the Ultra Limited and today's Limited models, and classify what this generation change means for existing and future owners.

What we will discuss in detail on Monday
In addition to the engine and the history of the model, the biker talk among other things, the revised SHOWA chassis with tool-free adjustable pre-tensioning, the new Grand Tour-Pak with integrated loudspeakers and flush LED lighting, the weight reduction of up to 10 kilograms compared to its predecessors and the standard driver assistance systems with curve-optimized ABS. The price point of 35,600 euros RRP in Germany will also be a topic of discussion.
As always, questions, opinions and your own experiences are welcome. The chat is open and we respond to everything live.
