Memories – On the road with the Harley-Davidson in the Everglades
Memories – It's not like you always do everything right on your tours in other countries. In 2016, somewhat carefree, we rode our Harleys into the Everglades near Miami.
We asked a ranger beforehand if this could be done, he just said not to go swimming and not to feed them, but he didn't tell us that we shouldn't get off.
I can only recommend that you go to the Mikosukee Indian Village beforehand to find out who you might meet in the Everglades and especially who can run and how fast.
As you can see in the photos, we stood less than five meters from the water and photographed alligator wildlife. Of course, we only went to the Indian village afterwards and asked if we knew that an alligator can run at a speed of 50 km/h if it wants to catch prey, and not just in the water.
Of course we didn't know that, but the thing with the snapping turtle was crazy. I showed him the photo because I wanted to know what kind of turtle was destroying selfie poles. I can still hear his locations in my ears today! Danger Danger Danger!!
