Börjes American Bikes GmbH is the authorized Harley-Davidson dealer for the greater Bremen area, located at Hauptstr. 55 in 28816 Stuhr. The company has been operating at its current location since January 2020 and took over the H-D contract area from another dealer who left the dealer network at the end of 2019 [Der Weserkurier has reported on this several times]. A total of 19 employees take care of our customers' needs in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and are always ready to listen.
Local customers in the greater Bremen area and neighboring Lower Saxony receive tailored support in all matters relating to the purchase of new and used machines, our workshop services, and our online shop. The company offers a very extensive range of motorcycle clothing, fashion, and accessories.
Since the company was founded, the three young managing directors have faced unusually tough challenges due to government restrictions related to the pandemic and lockdowns, the associated global supply chain problems for machinery, accessories, and spare parts, and skyrocketing costs. Despite all the adversity, the team has succeeded in building up the company in an exemplary manner and developing it profitably.
Word of the extraordinary achievements of Börjes American Bikes in Stuhr quickly spread throughout the industry and among suppliers and partners. As a result, in mid-2022, the managing directors were asked to apply for the „Motorcycle Dealer of the Year 2022“ competition. The magazine Bike & Business Syburger Verlag is organizing the competition among all motorcycle dealers in German-speaking countries.
The company's location in Augustfehn/Ammerland was already relocated in 2018 from Harley-Davidson entitled „High Performance Dealer“ and in 2019 by the trade journal World of Bikes awarded „Dealer of the Year 2019.“.
Managing directors Malte Börjes (35), Malte Kreke (31), and Steffen Börjes (32) did not hesitate and compiled extensive application documents covering topics such as customer service and customer focus, the company concept, sales and marketing activities, community engagement, internet activities, and key business performance factors. The result was an 18-page application.
This impressed the jury (consisting of editors, insurers, banks, and representatives of major suppliers in the industry) and led to Börjes American Bikes being named one of the top 10 motorcycle dealers in the competition. After selecting the TOP 10 motorcycle dealers, the jury visited them and subjected them to a rigorous audit. The company's processes and performance were put through their paces.
The suspense was created by Bike & Business until the award ceremony at the Bike & Business Symposium in Unna on November 17, 2022. All dealers were invited to the festive gala evening without knowing who would win the race. As the evening progressed, the tension rose immeasurably. Finally, they were among the TOP 3 dealers. In the end, the team from Börjes American Bikes GmbH, which attended the award ceremony with eight colleagues, came out on top. Motorcycle Dealer of the Year 2022 through.
The laudators Stephan Maderner (editor-in-chief and head of the dealer division at Syburger Publishing House) and Matthias Schmitt (Head of Sales Operations at mobile.de) justified the jury's selection with the excellent performance in all business areas of Börjes American Bikes GmbH.
Particular emphasis was placed on the company's unparalleled customer focus, effective sales, creative online and offline marketing, and modern website with unique features for customers. „The company's team members see themselves as Enabler. No stone is left unturned to satisfy even the most unusual customer requests and make deliveries possible,“ concluded Stephan Maderner in his laudatory speech.
The team proudly accepted the certificate and a large, themed trophy. The celebrations then continued late into the night.
