Bremen – Suspected motorcycle thieves caught
On Wednesday night, emergency services stopped two men in a Mercedes van in Borgfeld. They were suspected of having previously stolen a motorcycle in Hemelingen. A 35-year-old was temporarily arrested, the second man fled.

At around 2:55 a.m., witnesses reported two suspicious men loading a motorcycle into a Mercedes van on Tjadenweg. The emergency services who arrived quickly on site were unable to identify anyone.
Shortly afterwards, witnesses reported another suspicious van, this time on Fultonstrasse in the Lehesterdeich district. On the way to the scene, the police officers saw the van and signaled to stop. The driver initially tried to escape, but the emergency services stopped him shortly afterwards in Borgfelder Allee. One of the men immediately got out and ran away.
The police took the second, a 35-year-old, to the station. The van was seized and there was a motorcycle in the back. Shortly afterwards, a 21-year-old from Sebaldsbrück reported that his motorcycle had been stolen. The police filed a criminal complaint against the 35-year-old for particularly serious theft. Further investigations into the accomplice are ongoing.
