A small ray of hope for the Sylt Summertime Party and the location for further Harley-Davidson meetings
In Schleswig-Holstein, the state parliament decided on Thursday that events with a size of 1,000 people or more would only be prohibited. This applies until August 31, 2020. The organizers of the Sylt Summertime Party had acted in good time in advance and stopped registrations for the event, so they are definitely below the limit. Unfortunately, the island location is a little more complicated, negotiations with the authorities are ongoing, and there will be news from the island of Sylt at the weekend.
HARLEY DAYS DRESDEN
Dresden has initially taken note of the decision to ban all events until the end of August 2020. Further discussions with the responsible authorities will take place in the next few days. We actually see it the same way, the decision is not yet law, there will certainly still be a lot to discuss in Berlin.
There is still some time until August, the organizers want to try everything to avoid falling into the grid of a major event, the possibility is definitely there. Health will also have priority in Dresden. If the situation improves again in the foreseeable future, there is definitely a chance here! Give the organizers the time to exhaust all possibilities!
Hamburg Harley Days not canceled yet!
Another alternative date is being sought in Hamburg.
Contrary to various rumors online, the Hamburg Harley Days have not yet been canceled! The organizer is still looking for solutions to allow the Harley Days to take place in Hamburg this year.
In any case, Harley-Davidson will give us new information about the situation at the Harley meetings. Harley-Davidson also adheres to the regulations and many of those responsible work from home, which makes important meetings difficult. Making a telephone call is different than if everyone could be reached in the same office.
