Call for witnesses: Unknown people steal high-quality motorcycles from the garage in Badenstedt
Hanover: After several high-quality motorcycles were stolen from a garage in Hanover-Badenstedt, the police are hoping for information from the public. On the night of Saturday, October 17th, 2020, unknown people pried open the locked gate of a garage and stole three motorcycles. Among them was an eye-catching Harley-Davidson team.
According to current findings from the criminal police, the theft may have occurred on Saturday night between 11:30 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. During this time, a resident of the garage courtyard on Sternheimweg heard loud noises and looked out the window.
She saw a white van of unknown make standing in the garage yard with the lights on and the engine running. Ultimately, the witness paid no further attention to the whole thing. It was only on the morning of Sunday, October 18, 2020, that the 63 and 68 year old owners of the motorcycles discovered the theft and called the police.
During the theft, the unknown perpetrators took a black Harley-Davidson XLH trailer with a conspicuous sidecar. A frost blue BMW R1200C and a black Kawasaki EN 500 motorcycle also disappeared. The police put the value of the stolen vehicles at a total of around 25,000 euros.
