Information about Bike Week Willingen!
Bike Week Willingen has announced that the event has been canceled. The “Bike Week Willingen”, planned for July 11th to 14th, 2024, will not take place as planned. The organizers face challenges that affect their implementation. According to statements on the organizer's website, they don't get enough exhibitors to be able to hold a Bike Week according to their own ideas.
The official cancellation of Bike Week Willingen
Dear Bike Week friends, due to the current requirements of the municipality of Willingen and the poor booking situation of the exhibitors, it is not possible to hold the Bike Week Willingen in the way we imagine it to be in terms of quality. A smaller event, perhaps slimmed down in quality or size, is out of the question for us. After careful consideration and weighing up all options, we are hereby officially canceling Bike Week Willingen 2024. Ride safely! Your Bike Week Family

Statement on the cancellation of Bike Week Willingen 2024
The community of Willingen (Upland) has advocated, promoted and supported the Bike Week from the beginning. The bikers were and are always welcome and warmly welcomed guests. This should remain the case in the future; The organizer was simply asked that the existing agreements on noise protection for the population must be adhered to. be discussed together The community even put forward suggestions for solutions. The necessary discussions were still pending. In this respect, the cancellation of the event comes as a surprise to the community and, at least at this point in time, cannot be attributed to stricter requirements from the community.
As you can see, there are now different accusations as to what is said to have led to the cancellation of Bike Week Willingen. According to the information I was able to gather from the exhibitors' environment, the possible main reason is that the organizer lost many dissatisfied exhibitors. This has nothing to do with the visitors' willingness to buy, but rather with the processing and transparency of costs, for example in waste disposal.
Maybe there were too many kings at the event. The victims are and remain the visitors who have submitted their vacation, the hotel is booked and if there is no free cancellation option, it becomes particularly annoying. Of course you can still go to Sauerland, but it's annoying.
