300 Harleys at the kickoff of the 27th HARLEY-DAVIDSON^® CHARITY TOUR on 15.6.2024 in Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland

For the 27th time, the Harley-Davidson^® Charity Tour (HDCT) for the benefit of people with muscle disease kicked off the new charity season on Saturday, June 15, 24 in Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland. It was the start of the big charity tour, which will be rolling throughout Austria from August 14-18.

With the help of the Harley-Davidson^® Charity-Tour, in cooperation with the emergency aid fund of Licht ins Dunkel, to be able to support families quickly and unbureaucratically, where a member has to cope with the challenges of people with muscle diseases, almost 300 bikers met at 10:00 a.m. at the Q19 Shopping Center in 1190 Vienna, where they were joined by prominent supporters of the HDCT such as Oliver Feicht, Tony Wegas, Andrea Kdolsky, Toni Rey, Albert Fortell, etc. from PLUS aka Marco Prinner were entertained.

Afterwards, the Harleys cruised to Adi Bittermann's world of pleasure to Göttlesbrunn. At 13:00, the bikers were awaited by the grill world champion himself with his delicious HDCT burger creation, as well as by Markus Lager with his organic wines, and acoustically they were treated to country pop by Lara & theRoofcats delighted. Dieter Baier, President of the HDCT, was delighted with the record attendance: „Even after almost three decades, the cohesion of the Harley community with the aim of doing good together is greater than ever.“

The impressive procession then moved on to the next stop, which was scheduled for 15:00: Esterházy Palace in Eisenstadt. There, a donation check from the Oberbank picked up. The wine shop Selection awaited the bikers here with Burgenland specialties and the finest jazz in a lounge atmosphere.

The kick-off concluded with the City park festival in Wiener Neustadt, where the bikers finally arrived at 18:00. Visitors to the Stadtparkfest admired the hot Harleys and were able to donate to Austria's muscle patients. They were entertained with folk'n roll of the Freemensingers in a good mood.

This kickoff was also hosted by Radio Wien DJ Alex List, who never tired of talking about the big tour, which will make stops in Vienna, Bad Radkersburg, Schladming, Gmünd in Carinthia, Lienz, St. Johann in Tirol, Obernberg am Inn, Ried im Innkreis, Linz and Krems from August 14 - 18.

In addition to the donations raised before the season through the screenings of the film about the HDCT produced by the tour's founder, Ferdinand O. Fischer, as well as charity events on May 1 in Steyr-Bad Hall and at the Schönfeld Golf Club, the kick-off event resulted in a further 24 donation cheques totaling over €100,000.
