WHY I SHOULDN'T RIDE A MOTORCYCLE NOW!
The weather at the weekend was nice in large parts of the country and of course the thought comes to mind to finally do a few laps with the goat again. If it weren't for this situation with the Corona virus , one could of course think about it.
The greatest danger for motorcyclists is always in spring, the drivers are not yet prepared for the bikers and the motorcyclists drive their first kilometers of the year and have to break in themselves and the machine.
Group photos are not recommended now!
As you could see on social media, some bikers were out in the group and celebrated with group photos and “Fuck the Corona”. We'll see who fucks who in a few weeks. Given the current situation, it's not recommended to take the virus lightly. One look at Italy is certainly enough to see what can still happen.
Spared yourself, but carried on!
It may not be about the bikers themselves, but we should do everything we can to not spread the virus when you may not even notice that you have carried it. And no one knows yet whether this will all happen and that's exactly it, no one knows!
Still, don't panic! That wouldn't help anyone now, but we don't have to encourage the spread, the virus is highly contagious and very dangerous, especially for older people.
Anyone can be a carrier!
This would be the case even with a normal flu, but the normal flu is not that extremely contagious and ultimately one can only hope that the virus does not mutate.
Not a good time for an accident!
Excursions don't have to be possible now!
The next aspect is, who wants to end up in the hospital now of all times? Sure, you can fall off a ladder at home, or whatever, but at the weekend Wermelskirchen , that can happen. In this case, his passenger was injured and ended up in the hospital. By the way, we wish you a speedy recovery.
Nobody needs that now, especially they don't need accident patients in the hospitals now. The staff there is already being challenged more than enough!
in –> Nehren was also badly hit; a car took his right of way, it was no longer possible to avoid him and so there was a collision in which he sustained a serious leg injury. Here too we wish you a speedy recovery!
Sure, that can always happen, but the timing is crucial, it could have been avoided, being admitted to hospital with a serious injury is very bad under these circumstances.
JUST LEAVE THE BUCK!
Maybe just polish the bike nicely if you need contact with the Harley, or tinker around. Ordering parts is still possible at most Harley shops, you'll probably come up with something, but please stay home with your kids for now, even if it's difficult!

A few words to Andi from March 17th.
with his “nice” comment: Your descriptions show me that you have obviously fallen off your motorcycle a few times and always really freaked out!
Apparently you don't yet understand the seriousness of the situation.
We have never had a situation like this here or anywhere in the world. And the bad thing about the whole thing is that there is still no end in sight. This stupid virus seems to be circling the entire globe because no country or person is safe from it; Not even a “hard-as-nails Harley rider” like you. I am not only a motorcycle rider, but also an employee of an authority that has had to ask hundreds of people infected with Corona and their contacts by telephone every day for several weeks about their current symptoms of illness. That's part of my job at the moment. And it's damn stupid when you hear the person on the other end of the line burst into tears because a husband, wife, father, mother, daughter or son had to be admitted to the hospital overnight and is now on the ventilator . Your attitude in the current situation is simply stupid and really doesn't help to significantly improve the overall situation; it's just selfish. In addition, it does not help the public's image of bikers to change towards a positive one. Sorry Harley, I'm not a fan of your brand and you're struggling hard at the moment, but I think your article and your attitude towards the shitty situation for all of us is great and absolutely right.
That has to be said sometimes. I hope for all bikers that in the foreseeable future we will be able to get back on our bikes and enjoy our hobby without a guilty conscience. Always stay sitting upright, always come home safe and above all – stay healthy.
Hello, anyone here who thinks this will all be over in 2-3 weeks, I just have to laugh, look at it as it really is. People, it's getting worse, very few people stay at home with their children, no, they go on to work and park them Children with grandma and grandpa, even though the reason is wrong. Going to work is more important to them than children, grandma, grandpa. It's like always everyone is next to themselves and you're still thinking about driving yes or no. IT WILL BE EVERYTHING EVEN WORSE
How am I supposed to get to work now? The “social hose” as Mc’Donald the Microbis?
And always keep your finger in your anus. Viruses can also be transmitted through farting
If I get on my moped, go for a ride and then come back home, I have just as much virus on me as before and no more.
If I - like many others at the moment - storm the nearest DIY store and then, as a layman - because I have time - I want to beautify my hut and in the process I throw the hilti through my hand or fall off the 3.50m ladder, I have it too a challenging injury.
No, I think that it is simply the case that the idea of (driving) “freedom” does not psychologically fit into the current Corona situation and we therefore set up our own curfew in our brains in advance obedience.
In any case, I will consciously get on my Harley and ride.
True words!
I can only agree with that.
My wife and I go for a ride with helmets and protective clothing and have no contact with other moped drivers/people (except at traffic lights or when refueling). Keep your helmet on and keep your distance. It is important to be careful.
There are no groups anyway because many don't travel by car or moped.
And if you drive with your head and foresight, you have the chance to get home without an accident.
Motto Safety First. Greetings

I've never read such nonsense before. When I ride around alone on my motorcycle and enjoy the fresh air, it actually improves my health compared to sitting at home. I don't have to go on group trips. And I also have to fill up my car sometimes. We must now do everything we can to slow down the wave of infections, but stopping motorcycling is certainly not useful and spreading panic or rubbish, like this article, is not helpful either. Politicians act prudently and decisively, but the media tries to scare people! I continue driving because I drive sensibly and don't belong to the risk group of moped drivers.
For your sake, I hope you get a curfew. You just don't think any further. And you don't care about other people.
Ok, then today I'll give up my moped and take the bike instead. Better safe than sorry.
Exactly what you think👍👍
People: the emperor is naked!
Completely excessive measures considering the few cases.
Corona viruses are present in all of the group's annual outbreaks. Has anyone considered similar cases in recent years that it is possible for civil rights to be so massively restricted? Here a hype is fueled by excited media and social media. Who benefits from it in the end?
OK, the emperor, but that's not what it's about. The real danger is not that the virus is killing us all, but rather what it triggers. The vast majority will survive it, or hopefully not get it or notice it at all. But who will notice something are the people who keep the whole good old Germany thing running. When the middle class collapses, we have real problems. Not everyone is in a position to keep everything going without having the corresponding income. And if the spread of the virus is not stopped, the state will slow us down completely. Then that was it with the behavioral instructions and then comes the obligation. Just keep your feet still for two or three weeks and the situation will relax again.
The article hits the mark, take the virus very seriously without panicking, and avoid unnecessary risks of injury at the moment, because no one needs a hospital now and no one needs a hospital now. Great article!
