News about the Hamburg Harley Days 2021
After the Hamburg Harley Days was postponed to August 13th to 15th, there wasn't much new to report from Hamburg. But we're slowly starting to hear something again, because the team behind the Hamburg Harley Days finally wants to get started again this year. It won't be easy, that's obvious to everyone, but the general conditions are now in place, according to the organizer.
The concept is currently being worked on, but one of the biggest problems is financing; it is hardly possible to collect the original stand rents; many exhibitors currently have little to no income. The ever-increasing costs for the security concept have already been a burden in previous years, but now the required hygiene concept is added to ensure that everyone involved can stay safely on the site, which is also in the organizer's interest.
Admission is an issue for the Hamburg Harley Days
It may come down to the fact that the organizer will charge an entrance fee, that hasn't really been decided yet, but it's currently being hotly debated. Harley-Davidson has so far been reluctant to take this route. One thing is clear, the pandemic will change the Hamburg Harley Days , because an unlimited number of visitors cannot come to the wholesale market. Taking into account a sophisticated hygiene concept, the event could definitely take place based on current aspects.
The entry would simplify processing and access and cover a large part of the costs. Another very interesting effect would be, if you decide on the entry option, part of the income will be invested in the quality of the event. Then they want to offer visitors even more, according to the organizer.
The idea is to use a software solution to gain access to the area via an APP with a QR code. That would be the quickest and easiest solution if you want to drive or walk to the Hamburg Harley Days area, at the wholesale market. This would be the easiest way for the visitor to leave their contribution and be registered as a visitor. It is assumed that more will generally be possible again in August, let's hope for the best.
We're interested in your opinion!
In the Harley community, people don't really believe that things will really start in August, it would be nice if things turned out differently this time. Would you rather have the Harley Days with admission or not at all and if so, what is on your wish list and what would you like to see more of?

Be sure to have Harley Days take place. Entry is ok, for me up to 20€ / person. Incidence values are continuing to fall, more and more are vaccinated and I'm really tired of the restrictions. MoGo, concerts/festivals = all cancelled. The Harley Days are the only hope of having a nice time together again. Since I restored my 34 year old Harley in the winter, I would also like to present it 😎
Of course I would be there even with the entry fee! Should probably fit into the budget 😎 I'm looking forward to the event and lots of nice encounters this year 🇩🇪🇺🇸
Of course you can enter! It's good for everyone! Power on!
An entrance fee is completely fine. I'm coming for the first time this year as a visitor to check things out. I'll be back next year with my Harley. Stay tuned. Dirk
Hello, I think an entry price within a reasonable range is OK, but not 50 euros, not every Harley rider is a millionaire but has to save for his hobby. I come from 600 km away, plus the hotel costs are a lot higher this weekend. Please don't make it an actor's event, but rather something that every motorcyclist can finance. Greetings Joachim
I have been attending the Harley Days Hamburg since 2009 and would be happy to pay a donation for this atmosphere and this event, as long as it remains within reasonable limits. It was always a pleasure to be there and it would be great if it was possible again. Hold on……
What about hotel/accommodation?
Can they join in until then? I don't feel like going there in the morning and going back home in the evening.
Overnight stay is a must. Greetings Klaus
We want to assume that, at the moment the situation is improving, the hotels in Schleswig-Holstein will be open again from May 17th, and that won't take long in Hamburg either.
Howdy my dears, entry shouldn't be a problem for Harley enthusiasts and if you're afraid of surveillance via app, I ask you to get rid of your smartphone, internet, TV and the like completely 🙄😉
We should definitely be more careful about it to show his presence.
Aren't we bikers a thorn in the side of a few and should we miss an opportunity that presents itself, perhaps in 2022 it will be said... "You didn't want to last year either" So I think get on the bike and let's go 😎🤘
Greetings Andi
Fair admission prices are ok.
I would refuse to use an online ticket provider, as I have often not received a refund in the event of a cancellation. But what about the rules?
Few participants, with mask requirement, proof of vaccination, rapid or PCR test, etc.?? ...for me NO THANKS:
Ride a Harley means pure freedom!!
This is not compatible with the legal restrictions
No problem. I would like to save up to 50 euros. Be careful with app solutions. As an IT person, I can only warn against this. If the app doesn't work, the whole thing can quickly collapse. Besides, there isn't enough time until then. An IT project of this size requires 1 year of planning and implementation. Be careful, I can only warn you.
I think the entrance fee is very good and it's worth spending a few euros on it. It's also about preservation.
It would be nice if that worked.
The vaccinations are making progress, and it's about time.
Admission is ok, if I ride a Harley, I'll raise the few bucks for the awesome event.
Harold
How about a donation instead of admission?!
Crowd funding by friends of harley….
I would buy a day ticket... And of course the days have to take place. What else are we left with?
...whether I don’t miss the living “chaos”?!? However, I think it's good that it's starting again (-:
I would also be happy to pay admission to the Hamburg Harley Days. However, for personal reasons I can only attend the Hamburg Harley Days on one day. There should also be day tickets for the Hamburg Harley Days.
If you have a little Harley heart, it's no problem that you would pay admission. The main thing is that it takes place. You deserve it. And we want the HarleyDays.
I understand that the stand operators need to be compensated, but some of the visitors were/are on short-time work for a long time with financial losses. So the entry fee should be within reason. But I think it is questionable to hold a major event at this time. Also, I won't install any apps, we're already under enough surveillance. In any case, I won't throw myself into the crowd this year.
Hello Wolfgang, if that happens, the happy medium has to be found somewhere, because you are of course right, there are also many visitors who are suffering from the pandemic. It's about August, that's still a few months away. You want to avoid crowds, like in front of a big stage, as already written in the article, in the interest of health, there will be a sophisticated hygiene concept so that such things can be avoided if possible.
Admission yes. But a mask or any “app” is out of the question for me.
In my opinion, it depends heavily on the restrictions on freedom that apply at the time. I can't (and don't want to) imagine the HHD with a mask requirement and severely limited number of visitors. A moderate entrance fee would be ok if it were used to relieve the burden on stand operators who have had little or no earning potential for a long time.
Hello, we come from Freising near Munich and have already booked rooms for security reasons, so with a code on the grounds it's great and entry would be okay for us, no problem, and by August a lot of people will definitely be vaccinated.
We would agree to a flat rate fee. Day ticket or just for 3 days
I would be willing to pay an entrance fee. Up to 50 euros for every day is not money. We also drive machines that cost money and then you can't be stingy when it comes to admission. But if Harley resists this, the company should pay the additional costs in full as well as most of the stand rental amount. After almost 2 years without events, stand operators who make a living from the events have also been hit hard enough.
Maybe the Harley-Davidson thing came across the wrong way. They would like to avoid it, not because they are stingy, in fact they are against it. But if they accommodate the stand operators in return, it will somehow work.
I'm also there with (moderate) entry fees!!
I am against entry. If everyone should do their part, then please everyone, including landlords, security services, breweries and the big players in the industry. And, after all, it is a Harley advertising event, so Harley should also bear a larger share. I believe that many people won't come if they enter and that will be particularly to the detriment of the stands and restaurateurs. Up to now we have always been there every three days and have left a lot of money there each time; if we entered it it would perhaps only be once. This is then again at the expense of the shops and restaurateurs. It didn't work at the Harley open air cinema event either. I would think about it.
The cinema number was only promoted too late, and not everyone knows that. I couldn't really imagine it either, but I was there and I thought it was really great.
with limitation of participants and hygiene concept it is not what it should be...
I'll be back when this shit is over... then also with admission.
With admission, OK
Klappt in Rüdesheim is also great.
Entry is ok, but within limits. Max. EUR 15.00 per day or EUR 20.00 for the entire event!
Yes, sure…but not 50 euros
Admission is ok within a manageable framework.
Entry would be completely fine. Greetings from Swabia
Great thoughts or suggestions 👍 would be there 🙋🏻♀️
Admission wouldn't be a problem... You also have to think about the dealers who had enough failures. It should definitely take place
Of course I would pay an entrance fee.
I think up to 50 euros would be justifiable 😍 Kind regards from Munich
At €50 we would probably both celebrate alone :)
Then there would be three of us. Even at 50 euros for every day, that's not a price. Honestly, who hasn't spent €50 more stupidly? Ultimately, this benefits everyone.
If only it had been €50 that I spent more stupidly 🙂
