Custom Moped Contest at the Custombike Show

Premiere at this year's Custombike-Show: In addition to the traditional European Biker Build-Off, two teams of mechanics with custom mopeds will compete for the first time in Bad Salzuflen in the „First German Räng-Däng-Däng-Build-Off“.

First German Räng-Däng-Däng Build-Off Premiere at this year's CUSTOMBIKE Show: In addition to the traditional European Biker Build-Off, two teams of mechanics with custom mopeds will be competing against each other for the first time in Bad Salzuflen in the „First German Räng-Däng-Däng Build-Off“. And similar to the big motorcycle contest, East meets West here, but in a German format: Thuringia against Lower Saxony.

V.E.B.-Design from Plauen will be entering the two-stroke ring with - how could it be otherwise - a Simson Schwalbe. The Töffli Heizer Ostfriesland will take on a Puch Maxi. The rules of the
screwdriver competition are similar to those of its big sister build-off: All required components must be delivered individually, i.e. not pre-assembled (with the exception of
the tires that may be fitted to the wheels). Pre-assembled components such as swingarm or fork already on the frame are not permitted. The fork must also not be pre-assembled (fork legs and triple clamps must be assembled separately).

European Custom Bike Championship in Bad Salzuflen

The complete electrical system must be installed on the platform. The wiring harness may be prepared in advance, but may not be pre-installed in or on the handlebars, frame or swingarm. Brake lines, throttle, clutch and other Bowden cables etc. must also be installed on the stage - no pre-assembly! The team size for this competition is limited to two mechanics and the final will take place on Saturday at 5 pm.

Who will win the First German Räng-Däng-Däng-Build-off is in the hands of the public: voting will take place on Saturday from 12 noon to 4.30 pm directly at the venue. Come along and vote to see who has put the wackiest moped on its wheels!
