The Custombike Show 2019 has opened its doors and we can be curious to see how the custom bike market will develop in 2020 and whether we can expect new impulses.

Harley-Davidson is strongly represented!
Over 300 exhibitors have gathered here this year and around 1000 custom bikes can be seen in the halls. Harley-Davidson Bielefeld, Düsseldorf and Osnabrück will be joining forces with a large stand and providing a good insight into how you can modify your original Harley-Davidson.

The Fat Boy is in great demand!
Especially the Fat Boy is often used as a conversion on the Custombike Show Its popularity is unbroken, the new design and especially in the powerful 114 cui Milwaukee-Eight engine version it is in great demand. Almost anything is possible with the Fat Boy, it is particularly suitable for conversions with mega wide tires a la Rick's predestined.
The electric Harley-Davidson LIVEWIRE
I would have thought that Harley-Davidson would have LiveWire It was on display, but somehow went under the radar. It was actually supposed to be delivered to the first customers before Christmas, but the production stop has delayed this somewhat, so the first ones will probably not be delivered until early 2020.
There was no sign of the e-bike trend at the Custombike Show, Harley-Davidson was very early to the market here. The traditional manufacturer has been working on this technology for over 5 years and the LiveWire will not be the only model in this class.
However, the customer is not yet ready for the market, but our politics will force us to do so at some point, so perhaps we can be glad that Harley-Davidson is working on the technology, even if you don't like it.
For the LIVEWIRE, there should no longer be a road closure where motorcycles are no longer allowed to drive because of the noise protection.
Companies like cult work from Austria, who are not an official dealer and are dedicated to Harley-Davidson bikes, are making a very good showing at the show and have cool bikes at the start.
It's a good mix of official Harley dealers and independent customizers and companies that offer parts specifically for Harley-Davidson bikes.
LEDs are the trend
This includes in particular all those who have to do with LED light sources, especially HIGHSIDER has a large presence in this area, offering high-quality LED lamps and indicators for years. Likewise Kellermann with its popular LED indicators.
Handlebars, panniers, clothing

The bike show is spread out through the halls, there are again a lot of fancy bikes, sometimes you really have to wonder how they keep coming up with new ideas.
The Chicano style
The Chicano style is still, or already back in fashion, and you will see some eye-catching models at the fair.
That is art!
And there are also the curious exhibitors who give free rein to their creativity, including the guys from Motorcycles Art, who have built a music station out of an engine block and produce creative motorcycles for the wall that look really cool!
They also build to customer specifications, I would imagine that a music station from a V-2 engine is probably not the problem.
A leather pannier from MCJ , as I have never seen it before, it was displayed in a closed showcase.
SUMMARY OF THE CUSTOMBIKE SHOW
There really was a lot to see, it's certainly just a personal opinion, but for me the Custombike Show is one of the best motorcycle shows internationally. In 2019 it looks very tidy and presents itself to the public with very good exhibitors, no junk, which you often used to see in the past, that's a thing of the past.
You can also manage with the prices of the catering, if you use the mixed calculation and get supplies from the exhibitors who offer coffee etc., then it's fine.
Surely one or two people may still have found something they don't like. Nevertheless, we can be happy to be able to visit such a high-quality trade fair in winter.
Anyone who observes the motor market in general and has seen how things are going downhill at the IAA will realize that it is no longer a matter of course to put on a good trade fair.
