Dashcam for motorcycles
Rising temperatures are attracting more and more bikers to the roads. A motorcycle dashcam ensures greater safety on the road and also documents the most beautiful tours.
„Bikers need to pay special attention to their safety this year. Because, as every spring, many drivers have „forgotten“ over the winter that they will be sharing the road with motorcyclists again when spring arrives,“ says Łukasz Tetkowski, CEE & DACH Country Marketing Manager at Mitac Europe. „In spring 2022, there is the added factor that the coronavirus measures, with lockdowns and working from home, have led to less driving practice.“
Dashcams document dangerous situations
To make your ride as safe as possible, it is advisable to equip your motorcycle with a dashcam that records dangerous situations. The ideal device is one that documents both the view ahead and behind, such as the Mio MiVue™ M760D with integrated rear view camera. The device films in Full HD quality, has a super-bright lens with an F1.6 aperture and an excellent 130° viewing angle. This allows it to capture important details at the roadside, such as cars pulling out of parking spaces or driveways that do not notice the motorcyclist in time.

The built-in GPS module allows the time and location of an incident to be pinpointed accurately. Thanks to innovative Mio™ Night Vision Pro technology, recorded images are bright and clear even in low light conditions. And with the integrated WiFi function, cyclists can save videos to their smartphone and share them on social media.
Two-wheel camera coming soon
This year, Mio will launch another dashcam: the Mio MiVue™ M700 can be used not only by motorcyclists but also by cyclists. This camera records videos in Full HD 1080P quality at 60 frames per second. The recordings are captured in 2K/1440p quality with a 140° viewing angle, so every detail is captured while riding. Thanks to its metal housing and tempered glass, this camera is also IP67 waterproof and can cope with a wide range of weather conditions.
„With dashcams for two-wheeled vehicle riders, we want to contribute to outdoor adventures and offer the possibility to record tours and capture dangerous situations. This year, we plan to introduce the M40 rearview camera for motorcycles. It can be connected to the Mio MiVue™ M700. Thanks to the high-quality STARVIS sensor with a large aperture (F1.6), this camera clearly captures what is happening behind a motorcycle, moped, or e-bike,“ explains Łukasz Tetkowski.
A relaxed start to the season
Your own safety and the safety of other road users depend, among other things, on how well your motorcycle is prepared for the season. Especially at the beginning of the season, bikers should take their time when riding—the journey is the destination!
