Exciting news in the app stores for Android and iOS devices: the new DEKRA On Tour app is the perfect companion for your next trip with motorcycle or classic car - with the most beautiful routes throughout Germany, with tips and checklists for Car, motorcycle and mobility and with a direct route to the nearest DEKRA location.
The new free App combines the best features from the two well-known DEKRA Motorrad and DEKRA Mobil offerings - enhanced and in a modern, user-friendly design. The two existing apps will be removed from the app stores in a few weeks.
To start with, 30 particularly beautiful motorcycle tours are included - spread all over Germany and of varying lengths, depending on your preferences. The shortest tour runs for 79 kilometers, the longest for almost 400 kilometers. More Tours will be added bit by bit. Each tour is provided with a detailed description, elevation profile and an overview of the most important sights along the route. A navigation function - to the starting point of the tour and along the route - is also included. And as a new feature, it is now also possible to record your own tours.
The accident helper is not only useful for motorcycle and classic car enthusiasts. Immediately after a traffic accident, quick and correct action is required, but many road users often do not know what to do in an emergency. This is where the app provides practical help: from securing the accident site and making the right emergency call to dealing with injured people and first aid measures, users are guided through step-by-step instructions. The app also offers functions for calling the emergency services directly if necessary, calling the police or contacting DEKRA for a damage assessment.
The checklists in the DEKRA On Tour app also provide practical help. Whether it's paying attention to the most important details when buying a used car, registering the used car, preparing your vehicle for the upcoming Main inspection prepare, get ready for winter or pack for your vacation: You can click your way through many topics step by step and be sure you haven't forgotten anything.
There are also checklists on the subject of motorcycles - for example for decommissioning during the winter season, buying a used bike, for the first ride of the year or a biker vacation - and on evaluation criteria for classic cars. Infocards also provide the most important tips on topics such as child seats, cleaning classic cars and special license plates.
