Dream-Machines is back
The Dream Machines magazine is back!
Who would have thought it, they made it after all and so we can even hold the first Dream Machines issue 01/2021 in our hands in December.
Before we get into all the details, here's a brief explanation of how to get them!
You can find them online at the Dream Machines website and receive it immediately after publication! If you subscribe now, you will receive the Dream-Machines 6 times in Germany from the second issue onwards for 44,-€ via post. Shipping is free of charge! Shipping to Austria, Switzerland and other countries is also possible.
If you don't want to pay for a subscription, you can Dream-Machines Online Kiosk for €7.90 and will also be sent to you free of charge. The better support, however, would be the ABO, so that the young company can develop calculable figures.
Custombike Magazine is also back in the race
This applies to the Custombike Magazine as both now belong to the new publisher after a tough battle GARAGE 21 to.
The collapse of the Huber publishing house resounded like a thunderclap through the scene. And so did the custom bike show Motorcycle show in Bad Salzuflen was pulled into the maelstrom. It was probably the most lucrative business in the publishing house and certainly had the easiest time being pulled out of the insolvency estate.
The Custombike Show hopes for 2021
The Custombike Show Motorradmesse has been saved and is expected to take place again in 2021. The new owner of the motorcycle trade fair is Messe Ostwestfalen GmbH. Economically, we have to worry about the Custom bike show The company is well positioned and is currently only being disrupted in its execution by Covid-19.
Need for clarification in the editorial of the first issue
In the editorial of the new Dream Machines, the man I hold in high esteem Editor-in-Chief Dr. Heinrich Christmann on this whole issue. He clearly points out where their current problems lie and the biggest problem is that they are not allowed to take over the original subscribers! Worse still, they are not even allowed to contact you and so you have to react yourself in order to receive your Dream Machines automatically by post again.
The magazine is also available in small quantities at kiosks or petrol stations. This type of marketing is not particularly lucrative for a magazine, you pay commissions and have to deal with returns, which are copies that are not sold in retail stores. With a subscription you help them more, and in the end every magazine sold helps.
And why the whole thing on Harleysite now? As an online medium, aren't you in competition with the traditional magazine?
That's actually easy to explain, the enthusiasm and passion drives many of us. We have known some of our colleagues for years and naturally meet up at events and bike presentations. That's where we exchange ideas and enjoy talking to like-minded colleagues about the latest developments in the motorcycle world.
It's basically just a small scene and of course everyone wants to be the best in their profession, but when you see how your colleagues are left with nothing from one day to the next after decades of work, you are affected. They simply don't deserve that and if they now want to make the best of this situation and keep going, driven by their passion, then of course you support them.
Not just out of solidarity, no, they also do a good job and some reports on new custom bikes are somehow more intensive in a magazine and one does not exclude the other. Dream Machines in particular is a good magazine, where the annual subscription is well worth it! Magazines are having a harder time these days, but if you are open to new things, you definitely have a chance of asserting yourself on the market. There are very successful examples in other areas.
In any case, all fingers are crossed for a successful outcome!
