Spectacular drone show at Lake Faak as another highlight of the 26th European Bike Week
It is a popular fixture at the end of the summer in the Villach - Faaker See - Ossiacher See region: the European Bike Week with more than 100,000 visitors from all over the world. This year, in addition to the popular parade, the village and the live music around the lake, the organizers are focusing on another program highlight from 3 to 8 September.
Around 200 drones will light up the sky above Lake Faak on Friday, September 6 and Saturday, September 7 from around 9.30 pm. An absolute premiere that promises a total work of art consisting of light, music, presentation and emotion.
The show itself is planned in great detail weeks before the event, explains Stefan Hölzl-Strohmayr from Droneline: „We have around eight weeks“ lead time to put on a show of this size, including planning, programming, organization and implementation on site. The battery management alone - around 500 batteries have to be charged and discharged at the same time - requires two employees, for example."
The drones take off from the lakeshore and then take up position directly above the lake after an approach of around 150 meters. „A drone show is hardly comparable to a firework display. In contrast, it is multi-dimensional, meaning we combine the lighting effects with music and presentation - and as our drones, which can even fly in light rain, score points with 100 watt LEDs, we have a huge range of colors, patterns and contrasts. It will be a firework of color that the Lake Faak has never seen before.“
