Dunlop GT503 factory-fitted on new Harley-Davidson Sportster S

Without a doubt, the brand-new Harley-Davidson Sportster S is one of the most eagerly awaited new motorcycles of 2021. It is even one of the most powerful bikes in the Harley-Davidson product range. Dunlop was exclusively commissioned by Harley-Davidson to develop a new tire specifically tailored to the requirements of the Sportster S. The result of this collaboration is the newly designed Dunlop GT503, which offers Sportster S riders outstanding handling characteristics. The tread design is also particularly sporty, matching the dynamic appearance of the Sportster S.
Not only does the GT503 tire tread pattern convey progressiveness, but the new Harley tire also offers innovative technologies beneath the tread. The radial construction features the proven JointLessBelt technology (endlessly wound zero-degree belt), which is also used in Dunlop's hypersport and sport touring tires. The advantages are neutral handling throughout the entire lean angle range, greater stability at higher speeds, and excellent feedback.
In addition, the tire contour has been shaped to increase the contact area with the asphalt and keep it constant, providing a high level of grip regardless of the lean angle. Combined with the new rubber compound, Sportster S riders can rely on safe and sporty handling on both dry and wet roads.
Like many other exclusive Harley-Davidson tires from Dunlop, the GT503 also features the Harley-Davidson logo on the sidewall. Commenting on the strong partnership between the two brands, Luca Davide Andreoni, Dunlop Marketing Manager Europe, said: „We are proud that Harley-Davidson has chosen Dunlop as the original equipment tire brand for the Sportster S. It was exactly 40 years ago that Harley-Davidson and Dunlop began working together on the original Sportster models. The GT503 is fitted in sizes 160/70R17 (front) and 180/70R16 (rear) on the new Sportster S. The wide front tire size gives it a cool custom bike look, but also offers the easy handling expected of sports bikes.
