THE EUROPEAN BIKE WEEK CELEBRATES 120 YEARS OF HARLEY-DAVIDSON
Strong bands, fire shows, guided tours and many other highlights at the European Bike Week 2023 in Faak am See
VIENNA (August 31, 2023) – The European Bike Week will take place from September 5th to 10th, 2023. The mega party has been going on in Carinthia, Austria, for a quarter of a century, and since Harley-Davidson has been producing motorcycles continuously for 120 years and founded the Harley Owners Group four decades ago, there are three good reasons to celebrate in Faak am See. Once again, Europe's largest motorcycle event will prove to be a real magnet for bikers and fans from all parts of the world. Anyone who loves music and the festival atmosphere is in good hands at this event, as the party goes on almost around the clock with free entry.
Consequently, the 40,000 square meter Harley Village in Faak am See offers lots of fun and action. The latest Harley-Davidson models including the 120th Anniversary bikes as well as the new CVO Road Glide and CVO Street Glide models will be presented at the expo. The latter are the most modern Grand American touring bikes that Harley-Davidson has ever produced. Numerous authorized dealers invite you to shop, where you can purchase the latest Harley-Davidson fashion as well as parts and accessories.
New this year is the Adventure Zone, an off-road area in the heart of the Harley Village, where Dakar professionals Joan Pedrero from Spain, Mick Extance from Great Britain and the German off-road expert and instructor Ralf Wiesenfeller will give presentations, training and off-road tutorials with the Pan Offer America 1250.
For those looking to take a test ride on asphalt, the HD Demo Ride Zone features a wide range of 2023 Harley-Davidson Sport, Cruiser, Grand American Touring and Adventure Touring bikes. If you don't have a driving license but still want to experience the cool motorcycle feeling, hop on the authentic Jumpstart driving simulator.
On three free motorcycle tours led by the local HOG Kärnten Chapter Austria, participants conquer the most beautiful roads in Carinthia on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. And anyone who wants to enjoy the lake and its surroundings from the air can book one of the helicopter tours.
All Harley-Davidson bike conversions are welcome at the spectacular Custom Bike Show powered by Metzeler on Friday, September 8th. The already legendary Harley-Davidson parade with thousands of bikes of all brands, regularly celebrated by countless spectators, will take place on Saturday, September 9th.
With more than 100 sales, catering and bar stalls, the festival offers daily entertainment until after midnight and there is rocking every evening on the two stages of the large tents - the Harley Bar and the newly designed Saloon Bar. This year, 25 performers will perform in the Village. The headliner is the top-class Austrian Stiletto rock band, which guarantees a thrilling overall experience with its rousing sound and lots of live action.
The classic exhibition with numerous historical machines from all eras of Harley-Davidson's long history provides deep insights into 120 years of motorcycle production. And in the evening, rhythmically swirling flames and strong pyrotechnic effects during the fire shows create breathtaking impressions.
One thing is certain: European Bike Week will put a big smile on its guests' faces and one lucky visitor will be even more happy because they will be able to take home a brand new Harley-Davidson - the winner of the big raffle.
