EUROPEAN BIKE WEEK CELEBRATES 120 YEARS OF HARLEY-DAVIDSON

Great bands, fire shows, guided tours, and many more highlights at European Bike Week 2023 in Faak am See

VIENNA (August 31, 2023) – European Bike Week will take place from September 5 to 10, 2023. This mega party has been taking place in Carinthia, Austria, for a quarter of a century, and with Harley-Davidson having been manufacturing motorcycles continuously for 120 years and founding the Harley Owners Group four decades ago, there are three good reasons to celebrate in Faak am See. Once again, Europe's largest motorcycle event will prove to be a veritable magnet for bikers and fans from all corners of the globe. Anyone who loves music and festival atmosphere is in good hands at this event, because admission is free and the party goes on almost around the clock.

Consequently, the 40,000 square meter Harley Village in Faak am See offers plenty of fun and action. The Expo will showcase the latest Harley-Davidson models, including the 120th Anniversary bikes and the new CVO Road Glide and CVO Street Glide models. The latter are the most advanced Grand American Touring bikes Harley-Davidson has ever produced. Numerous authorized dealers invite visitors to shop for the latest Harley-Davidson fashion, parts, and accessories.

New this year is the Adventure Zone, an off-road area in the heart of Harley Village, where Dakar pros Joan Pedrero from Spain, Mick Extance from Great Britain, and German off-road expert and instructor Ralf Wiesenfeller will offer presentations, training sessions, and off-road tutorials with the Pan America 1250.

For anyone who wants to take a test ride on asphalt, the H-D Demo Ride Zone offers a wide range of 2023 Harley-Davidson Sport, Cruiser, Grand American Touring, and Adventure Touring bikes. If you don't have a driver's license but still want to experience the thrill of riding a motorcycle, hop on the authentic Jumpstart riding simulator.

On three free motorcycle tours led by the local H.O.G. Carinthia Chapter Austria, participants will conquer Carinthia's most beautiful roads on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. And anyone who wants to enjoy the lake and its surroundings from the air can book one of the helicopter sightseeing flights. 

All Harley-Davidson bike conversions are welcome at the spectacular Custom Bike Show powered by Metzeler on Friday, September 8. The legendary Harley-Davidson Parade, regularly cheered on by countless spectators and featuring thousands of bikes of all brands, will take place on Saturday, September 9. 

With more than 100 sales, catering, and bar stands, the festival offers entertainment every day until after midnight, and every evening there is rock music on the two stages of the large tents—the Harley Bar and the newly designed Saloon Bar. This year, 25 performers will be appearing in the Village. The headliner is the top-class Austrian Stiletto rock band, which guarantees a thrilling overall experience with its rousing sound and plenty of live action.

The classic exhibition provides deep insights into 120 years of motorcycle manufacturing with numerous historic machines from all eras of Harley-Davidson's long history. And in the evenings, rhythmically swirling flames and powerful pyrotechnic effects create breathtaking impressions during the fire shows.
