The European Bike Week takes place from September 3rd to 8th, 2013
A variety of languages, a wide variety of compatriots and a number of candidate countries – what the EU can do, the global Harley-Davidson family has been able to do for a long time.
Anyone who attends one of the major events celebrated all over the country under the sign of the Bar and Shield logo will confirm this.
And more than ever it applies to “the” European motorcycle event of the year, the European Bike Week , which is taking place this year from September 3rd to 8th amidst the spectacular Alpine panorama in Faak am See, Austria.
In this special atmosphere, everyone is welcome with free entry, whether they ride a Harley or not.
Everyone has fun here, and family bonds become noticeable, uniting a wide variety of people in a joy for life that pushes boundaries.
During the day, the bikers explore the magnificent mountains of Carinthia and the neighboring states on their motorcycles, and at night they celebrate around Lake Faaker See until the early hours of the morning.
At the heart of the action lies the large tent city of Harley Village.
An impressive exhibition tent with new MotorClothes collections, new accessories and the latest motorcycle models for 2014, a large customizer area with a top-class custom bike show, a huge shopping mile with authorized Harley dealers and independent traders, a comprehensive range of food and drinks, a new HOG Bar, strong live music acts on the main stage as well as several stages in the entertainment and catering tents - all of this ensures that people with gasoline in their blood and rock'n'roll in their hearts can shake off the stress of everyday life in no time .
Not only the bikers, but also their many bikes are among the stars of the event.
Tens of thousands of onlookers line the streets when the engines are started for the big parade on Saturday.
It's hard to get enough of the look of the machines, their unmistakable V2 sound reminds some of the human heartbeat, and the very special feeling they convey has to be experienced for yourself - for example on the astonishingly authentic driving simulator "Jump Start" for those without a driver's license or, of course, during one of the numerous free test drives for driver's license holders.
Several truckloads of brand new bikes are available in the large “Demo Ride” area for your very own test on signposted routes. Motorcycle clothing can be rented on site.
More V-Twin, more fun and more action couldn't be possible - the European Bike Week is a veritable Harley-Davidson quintessence, and it simply cannot be topped. Further information can be found at www.hogeuropegallery.com
