European Bike Week 2014
Now it's over again, the rain-hit Harley-Davidson mega party of the year in Europe. But as we all know, after the party is before the party!
Until Friday the weather was really bad, the large area at the Harley Village was completely soaked and could only be kept alive with chips and foil, unfortunately the bikes couldn't park there, which was a problem overall because Other parking areas could not be released either.
The bike show had to be relocated so that the prized bikes had solid ground under their wheels, but unfortunately there was no space left for a stage on which the awards ceremony could take place.
Many bikers went home earlier this year or didn't come at all, especially on Saturday it was noticeably quieter in all event areas than in previous years.
But still, those who didn't let it spoil their good mood certainly didn't care. It wasn't as crowded as usual, but there was enough going on everywhere for a good party! There were enough great bands and top DJ music.
Well-filled tents in the Harley Village or in Arneitz made you forget everything. There were really great bikes to see again, that's actually what it's all about. The new models were exhibited in the Harley Village, the Harley-Davidson Discovery Tour was successfully completed in Faak and test drives were also carried out.
The bike shows offered a lot for the eye, many newly built bikes were presented. Very special bikes were on show from Kuwait, the Radical Class was awarded to Aykut for his Stage III, the class was very competitive this year.
Apart from the weather, the European Bike Week already good, so we are looking forward to the next event at Lake Faaker See in 2015.
From 8th to 13th September 2015 it starts again at Lake Faak...
