The European Bike Week attracted over 100,000 visitors to Faak

15 years of party time in Faak and soon 110 years of Harley-Davidson – something happened! This year's European Bike Week, which took place from September 4th to 9th in Faak, marked the start of the big anniversary parties that will take place around the globe next year to mark the Motor Company's 110th birthday. A matter of honor that the exclusive Harley 110th Anniversary models could not be missing.

The Motor Company presented its 2013 model year in the Expo tent, which was positioned as usual in the middle of the Harley Village in the center of Faak.

The large tent city, where the heart of the event has been beating since 1998, also housed a large number of caterers, authorized dealers and independent traders.

This is where the guests fortified themselves, this is where they met to talk about gas and go shopping. After all, from a stylish scarf to a complete bike, there was nothing that wasn't available.

International Harley greats such as Rick's and Thunderbike presented themselves in the customizer area right next door. Here on Friday the most beautiful motorcycle conversions were chosen in 11 classes in a sensational show.

From the Village, they stormed Seestrasse and the rest of the state on two wheels. The sun was always kind to the fans, the sound of around 75,000 V-Twins was in the air, and the Carinthian dream roads were just waiting to be conquered.

Anyone who did not join one of the four tours led by the HOG Alpe Adria Chapter set off into the Alpine region on their own.

1080 guests took advantage of the option to take a free test ride on a new Harley.

The Jump Start driving simulator proved to be no less popular, giving those without a license an authentic Harley feeling. The entertainment in the evening also promised unforgettable impressions. 27 live bands, especially the British cult combo “10cc”, brought the atmosphere to a boil - 17 bands alone rocked the large open air main stage over the five evenings.

At the same time, people in the Choppers Bar, Hot Dot Café and Harley Bar marquees were swinging until the early hours, while the bikes were parked around the lake like a string of pearls. One of the event highlights was the big parade on Saturday. With around 25,000 machines, it can once again claim the title of “Europe’s largest motorcycle parade”. Of course, there will be another European Bike Week in Harley-Davidson's anniversary year, and of course all friends of music, bikes and a good mood are invited to celebrate for free.

The next party in Faak will take place from September 3rd to 8th, 2013.
