(Neu-Isenburg) Nowhere else in Austria can you enjoy more hours of sunshine than in the south of Carinthia, where power-relaxers feel just as at home as cyclists, hikers and water sports enthusiasts. But they all take a break at the beginning of September, because from September 4 to 9, half of Carinthia is firmly in the hands of motorcycle fans. The reason is called European Bike Week and is regarded as a mecca for motor maniacs on two wheels. This year, the mega party takes place on Lake Faak For the 21st time and once again bikers from Europe, Africa and America will flock to Carinthia to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and the cool party mood.

Those who are not exploring the rugged mountains of the Julian or Gailtal Alps and the Karawanken on their own or on a guided tour can relax by the lake, where one party location follows the next. The focal point of the action is Faak, where the Harley Village tent city covers an area of 40,000 square meters. Zu den Top Acts gehören The Darkness, die am Freitag britischen Glamrock vom Feinsten bieten, sowie die deutschen Senkrechtstarter The New Roses und die Backyard Babies aus Schweden, die am Samstag mit hartem, dreckigem Rock ’n’ Roll die Stimmung zum Kochen bringen werden. In zwei großen Festivalzelten geht es bis tief in die Nacht weiter. Das „Team 412 Area“-Zelt wird 2018 ergänzt um ein neues Großzelt mit neuem Catering- und Musikkonzept.
