Harley-Davidson celebrates its 120th anniversary in style with the European „Harley-Davidson 120th Anniversary Event“, a four-day festival featuring entertainment, music, food, and motorcycle culture. This extraordinary event takes place from June 22 to 25, 2023 in the center of Budapest, Hungary, welcoming drivers, enthusiasts, and fans to come together for a grand celebration in Europe.

The event will take place around and in the Puskás Arena in the middle of Budapest take place. In addition, a grand parade is planned through the center of the Hungarian capital. The city is looking forward to welcoming the Harley-Davidson community to welcome you to our beautiful city.
There is an extensive music program, with around 50 bands and other attractions. One of the TOP ACTS are the bands WOLFMOTHER and AIRBORNE.
The European event is one of many ways in which the company will celebrate its 120th anniversary worldwide in 2023. The Harley-Davidson parade will pass through the center of Budapest, and it's going to be phenomenal, according to one of the organizers who rode it in advance. It's scheduled to start at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, and the lineup begins at 10:00 a.m. if you want to be at the front. Motorcycle parking on the premises

Exchange your ticket for a wristband to enter the venue
The purchased ticket will be exchanged for a wristband to gain access to the venue. Tickets purchased in advance can be exchanged for wristbands at Gates IV and VI on Dózsa György Street, Gate IX on the corner of Stefánia Street, and Gate XII (VIP) on Stefánia Street.

What is the best way to travel to the Harley-Davidson rally in Budapest?
The bike shuttle solution
That certainly depends on where you're starting from, whether you want to drive yourself, and how much time you have. There are many roads that lead to Budapest. If you don't have much time and would like to take your Harley with you, you can arrange transport at SKS Travel Book your ticket and fly to Budapest—that's definitely the most convenient way to be there.
Stopover in Dresden or Prague
Dresden
If you want to take it easy, stay overnight in one of the two beautiful cities. Personally, I find Dresden very beautiful. In the evening, there are excellent restaurants and pubs where you can round off your first night in style. I would always prefer a hotel with its own garage – you never know in a big city like this. If you stay overnight in Dresden, however, you should go to bed early, because from here it's still about 700 kilometers to Budapest if you want to drive all the way.
One tip would be to stop off in Dresden, where there is a beer garden. „Schiller Garden„, where many Harley bikers will gather, but don't overdo it if you want to continue on to Budapest the next day 🙂 .

Accommodation in Dresden
Prague
Prague is just as beautiful a city, only 100 miles from Dresden to the capital of Czechia. Last year, I attended Prague Harley Days there. I took the photo with the Street Glide ST 117 in front of the National Museum in Prague. Both are magnificent, the museum and the Street Glide ST alike.
The city is beautiful, and it's worth staying longer than just one night. The prices are actually similar to ours, so if you want to save money, you have to stay further out. But now it's still over 500 kilometers to Budapest. It's all doable, but it always depends on what you want and how you're traveling. There is one good thing about it: the season is perfect, and if it's not raining, you should have perfect motorcycle weather.
Vienna
The next major capital city on the tour to Budapest could be Vienna. Why not? It's a slight detour, but you could sweeten it with a delicious slice of Sachertorte in Vienna. The distance from Prague to Vienna is approximately 330 kilometers, which sounds very relaxed.
Bratislava
As an alternative to Vienna, there is also Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, which has a quaint old town dating back to the 18th century and is only about 200 kilometers from Budapest. However, you need to be good on your feet if you want to visit the beautiful cafes and bars in the old town, as it is only accessible to pedestrians. Basically, it's a shame to visit all these capitals for just one night, as they all have so much to offer. Of course, you could stop here on the way back, but that often proves difficult if you don't plan it in advance, otherwise you'll want to go home.
Budapest
Budapest is only 250 kilometers from Vienna. That means you can leave Vienna after a leisurely breakfast and reach the Hungarian capital in 3-4 hours, where you can check in and get ready for the party. In my experience, it's always better to arrive at your destination a little earlier to get your bearings, find out where everything is, and get a feel for the city in general. The capital on the Danube has the potential for its own program of events, so you need to make sure you can fit everything in. Because one thing is clear: Harley-Davidson is going to make a big splash in Budapest. We'll certainly find out more on January 18.
Back via Katowice, the Silesian capital in Poland
Why not, if you're already traveling in the east, a visit to Silesia can also be appealing. Katowice used to be known for its coal mines. I've never been there myself, but the entry at vacation guru made me wonder why Katowice is considered an insider tip. Beautiful old buildings, some of which certainly have old German features. Katowice also has a Harley-Davidson authorized dealer, if anyone collects chips or T-shirts.
The city belonged to Prussia from 1742 and was part of the German Empire from 1871 until it fell to Poland in 1921. That's enough history for now. I think there are plenty of opportunities to turn the tour to Budapest into a short and enjoyable trip. I've done trips like this many times before, and it's always nice to explore other cities and countries. Of course, the best way to do this is to discover the world with the right Harley-Davidson tourer and like-minded friends or partners.
