EURO FESTIVAL 2025 IN SAINT TROPEZ
Harley-Davidson Euro Festival 2025 – Custom bikes, the Côte d’Azur, and a concert highlight
The legendary Harley-Davidson Euro Festival returns from May 8 to 11, 2025 to Grimaud near Saint-Tropez back. An event that is one of the absolute highlights of the European Harley scene – and rightly so.
Music, custom bikes, and Côte d'Azur flair
The first highlight has already been confirmed: on Saturday evening, the internationally acclaimed artist Rag'n'Bone Man on the festival stage. His mix of soul, blues, and urban pop is guaranteed to give you goosebumps. If you don't know him yet, you've definitely heard his songs before. And live, this guy is simply amazing.
The backdrop of the Côte d’Azur is perfect for a Harley rally: sunshine, palm trees, sea views, and a unique custom style familiar from France, Italy, and Spain—definitely worth the trip.

Custom Bike Show in Grimaud – a real highlight
An integral part of the Euro Festival is the Custom bike show in the heart of the historic center of Grimaud. The market square becomes the stage for extraordinary conversions—from artistic paint jobs to technical modifications to radical designs. Harleys from all over Europe come together here, including real gems from France, Spain, and Italy.
The atmosphere surrounding the old buildings, small cafés, and relaxed mood make this show a special experience—a must-see for anyone who loves custom bikes.

The legendary Harley-Davidson Euro Festival returns from May 8 to 11, 2025 Back to Grimaud, Saint-Tropez.
Traveling from Germany to Saint-Tropez – Tips for the journey
Getting to the Euro Festival in Saint-Tropez is a little journey in itself, but it's worth it in every way. I myself often travel with a stopover via Lyon driven – a route that proves useful for many.
At this time of year, the weather in the northern regions of France, especially near the mountains, can still be quite chilly. So remember to dress for the weather, as it can get quite cold in the mornings and evenings on a motorcycle. However, once you leave the mountains behind and head towards the Côte d'Azur, the weather usually changes dramatically. Temperatures rise and the warm Mediterranean air creates a real holiday feeling.

Tips for motorcyclists: Tolls, rules, and equipment in France
Many prefer to take a relaxed approach to the journey and spend a night in cities such as Lyon along the way. This gives them plenty of time to enjoy the ride and get in the mood for the upcoming festival, ideally with friends. Motorcycles are sometimes subject to tolls on the highway, but not always, so it is important to pay attention to the signs.
If you are traveling to Saint-Tropez by motorcycle, you should familiarize yourself with the traffic rules and requirements in France beforehand. Here are a few important tips:
Helmet and gloves required
• In France, the following applies helmet requirement for drivers and passengers. The helmet must have an ECE 22-05 certificate. Check that your helmet is marked accordingly.
- gloves are also mandatory. They must be CE certified. If you drive without them, you risk a fine.
• Also a safety vest (in bright colors) is mandatory equipment. It does not have to be worn while riding, but must be readily available—e.g., in your luggage or jacket pocket. A first-aid kit should, of course, be quickly accessible in your luggage.

Tolls on highways
• In France, most highways are subject to tolls, and motorcycles pay a reduced rate (category 5).
• Toll stations often have separate lanes for motorcycles, which makes the process easier.
• Tip: Get yourself a Electronic toll transponder for motorcycles (e.g., from Fulli, or Bip&Go). This allows you to pass through toll stations faster without having to take out cash or cards. I will try out the transponder, which is supposed to be available specifically for motorcycles, myself in the following countries: France / Spain / Portugal / Italy
speed limits
- In built-up areas: 50 km/h • Outside built-up areas: 80 km/h (on rural roads) • Expressways: 110 km/h • Highways: 130 km/h (110 km/h in rainy conditions) • Please note that France imposes heavy fines for speeding.
blood alcohol limit
• The blood alcohol limit is 0.5 per mille. For new drivers (with less than three years' driving experience), a stricter limit of 0.2 per mille.
driving behavior
• In France, it is customary for motorcyclists to give a quick wave with their leg when overtaking or passing through narrow sections—a nice gesture that is well received.
• Overtaking columns of vehicles (filter driving) has been legal on highways since 2021, but only under certain conditions (max. 50 km/h and on marked sections). However, changes in favor of motorcyclists are already in the works.
refueling
• Gas stations on highways are well equipped but more expensive. You will find cheaper prices away from the highways. Please note that many smaller gas stations in rural areas often only accept cards.

Special features of the Côte d’Azur
The roads around Saint-Tropez are generally in good condition, but during festival season, the main roads in town can get crowded. Therefore, allow a little extra time and use smaller side roads to avoid traffic.
The journey may take a little longer, but when the sun rises over the Côte d’Azur and you drive along the coastal roads, perhaps on your way to Monaco, you'll know that it was worth the trip. It's an event that everyone should experience at least once!

The party isn't exactly cheap. In St. Tropez, visitors are usually treated to a fantastic music program, which makes things a little more expensive. It's just another facet of the various Harley-Davidson gatherings that are offered to us worldwide!
Event tickets start at €145 for Friday and Saturday, or €165 for all four days. (H.O.G. members receive a discount).
