From May 24 to 28, 2023 on the beach of Igoumenitsa in Greece
Every year at a different location in Europe is the motto of the FH-DCE Super Rally organizers. In 2022 it was Sweden and at Whitsun 2023 the Super Rally will take place in Greece. A beautiful location was chosen on the beach of Igoumenitsa in the west of Greece.
What is the best way to get to Igoumenitsa?
From Frankfurt / Main, the route planner to the Super Rally via Italy throws out approx. 2000 kilometers, whereby you then take the ferry for a while. Or you can take the Balkan route to Greece via Slovenia, Bosnia, Serbia and Macedonia, a distance of around 2300 kilometers.
More driving and less ferry:
If you want to travel to Greece via Italy, you should go as far as the south-east of Italy. In the port city of Brindisi, the Grimaldi Lines directly to the venue in Igoumenitsa in Greece. The journey takes approx. 8 hours and costs approx. €160.00 (as of 06/2022) per round trip with a standard ticket.
It is possible to book a cabin, and there are various offers from the shipping company. You can probably save yourself the trouble of canceling if you can't make it. You might want to think about travel cancellation insurance, which covers everything. Cancellation conditions Grimaldi Lines. The Grimaldi Lines ferry operates daily on this route.
More ferry, less driving!
If, for whatever reason, you want to travel more by ferry to avoid having to travel through the whole of Italy, you can take the ferry from Ancona / Italy in approx. 17 hours to Igoumenitsa translate. There are two providers, the Minoan Lines sails in approx. 16h30m and the Anek - Superfast in approx. 17h. Prices are in June. 22 not yet available.

What awaits you at the Super Rally
Traditionally, the old school faction tends to ride to the Super Rally, which is also the beauty of this event. Lots of old Harleys that come on their own axles, it will be a somewhat tougher trip, but that also reflects the image of the visitors. With a bit of luck, the weather will certainly make the trip to the Super Rally 2023 very good, because in May the sun is already showing up a bit more than here.
The entrance fee to the 2023 event site is expected to be €85. The FH-DCE Super Rally® is an association of Harley-Davidson Clubs from Europe and runs under the name Federation Harley-Davidson Clubs Europe, the origin goes back to the 60/70s.
At the Super Rally, there's no chic Mickey here, they still try to uphold tradition, which is why many people sleep in a tent on the event grounds, or next to their Harley. A big party tent with a proper rock program, enough drinks and a regional breakfast the next morning and everyone is happy.
You should bear in mind that when a lot of people come, things can become a bit more problematic. In Sweden 2022, for example, although it was a very good area, there were obviously more bikers than expected. As a result, the toilets could only be used with a long wait and were accordingly occupied, but they were still clean. Breakfast in Sweden was so-so, these are things that vary from country to country. You either make your own provisions or take what is available.
The area in Greece will certainly be beautiful and the temperatures in this region will certainly be somewhat warmer than here. On the return journey, you will certainly have to be just as careful not to have any residual alcohol in your blood.
