Every year in a different place in Europe is the motto of the FH-DCE Super Rally organizers. 2022 was Sweden and at Pentecost 2023 the Super Rally will take place in Greece. A beautiful location was chosen on the beach of Igoumenitsa in the west of Greece.
Seen from Frankfurt / Main, the route planner for the Super Rally over Italy shows around 2000 kilometers, in which you then take the ferry for a bit. Or you can drive about 2,300 kilometers via the Balkan route to Greece via the countries of Slovenia, Bosnia, Serbia and Macedonia.
If you want to travel via Italy towards Greece as far as possible, you should drive to the southeast of Italy. Grimaldi Lines travels directly to the event location in Igoumenitsa in Greece. The journey lasts approximately 8 hours and costs approximately €160.00 per trip with a motorcycle and a recliner round trip with a standard ticket (as of 06/2022).
It is possible to book a cabin; there are various offers from the shipping company. You can probably save yourself a cancellation if it doesn't start. You might want to think about travel cancellation insurance to cover everything. Cancellation conditions Grimaldi Lines. The Grimaldi Lines ferry runs daily on this route.
If, for whatever reason, you want to take the ferry more so that you don't have to drive through the whole of Italy, you can take the ferry from Ancona / Italy to Igoumenitsa . There are two providers, the Minoan Lines runs in around 16h30m and the Anek – Superfast in around 17h. Prices are in June. 22 not yet available.

Traditionally, the old school faction tends to go to the Super Rally, which is also the nice thing about this event. Lots of old Harleys that drive up on their own, it will be a somewhat harder trip, but that also paints the picture of the visitors. With a bit of luck, the weather will certainly make the trip to the Super Rally 2023 very good, because in May the sun shows up a little more here than here.
The entrance fee to the 2023 event site is expected to be €85. The FH-DCE Super Rally ® is an association of Harley-Davidson clubs from Europe and runs under the name Federation Harley-Davidson Clubs Europe, the origin goes back to the 60s/70s.
There's no fancy dress at the Super Rally; they're still trying to keep tradition alive, which is why many people sleep in tents on the event grounds or next to their Harleys. A large party tent with a decent rock program, enough drinks and a regional breakfast the next morning and everyone is happy.
You should keep in mind that if a lot of people come, things can become a little more problematic. In Sweden 2022, for example, it was a very good area, but obviously more bikers came than expected. This meant that the toilets could only be used with a long waiting time and were accordingly staffed, but were still clean. Breakfast in Sweden was so-so, these are things that vary from country to country. Either you take care of it yourself, or you take what's there.
The area in Greece will certainly be beautiful, the temperatures in this region will certainly be a little warmer than here. On the return journey you will certainly have to be careful not to have any residual alcohol in your blood.
