Constant pressure to perform, jam-packed schedules and constant accessibility - the hamster wheel of life often seems to rotate at supersonic speed. For everyone who finally wants to catch their breath and regain their cool, Harley-Davidson that instead of meditation, spherical sounds and aroma lamps, they simply get on the motorcycle and get going - ideally at one of the numerous events that bikers will once again be enjoying all over our continent in 2015 earth. Because this is about everything that really counts: real friends, powerful V-twins, the pleasure of driving and the fun of partying with good live music.
The series of these extremely effective breaks from everyday life will be opened by the Euro Festival (www.hogeuropegallery.com) of the Harley Owners Group ( HOG ) from May 7th to 10th in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, probably the most famous place of longing on the Côte d'Azur. HOG members and fans who like to travel should also mark June 18th to 21st in their calendars, because that's when the European HOG Rally (www.hogeuropegallery.com) takes place - in Puerto Sherry, Spain, on the Andalusian Bahía de Cádiz.
Of course, there are also celebrations in the metropolises - for example in the friendly cathedral city of Cologne. The Harley Dome Cologne ( www.harleydomecologne.de ), which takes place from May 23rd to 24th, scores with a perfect view of the cathedral and old town. A month later, Germany's largest motorcycle event, the Hamburg Harley Days ( www.hamburgharleydays.de ), follows for three days - from June 26th to 28th - the cosmopolitan Hanseatic city wears orange and black. And of course the V-Twins will be thundering again in Austria's livable and lovable capital from July 17th to 19th. The district will step on the gas on August 2nd when the 21st Harley Meeting Ruhrpott takes place ( www.harley-meeting-ruhrpott.de ).
The visitors to the Magic Bike Rüdesheim ( www.magic-bike-ruedesheim.com ), which takes place from June 4th to 7th in the middle of the Upper Middle Rhine Valley World Heritage Site, and the guests of the Edersee Meeting ( www.edersee-meeting .de ), which takes place from July 2nd to 5th in the charming low mountain landscape of the Kellerwald-Edersee National Park. And if you're looking for sharp serpentines and alpine views, you should make a note of the Swiss Harley Days (www.swiss-harley-days.ch), which will shake up Lugano from July 3rd to 5th.
Doing good and having a lot of fun is the motto of the Charity Tour Austria (harley-charity-tour.at), which takes participants through Austria from August 12th to 16th. And of course the Alpine republic is once again the venue for “the” classic at the season finale: The European Bike Week ( www.europeanbikeweek.com ), the largest and most fascinating motorcycle event on our continent, will take place from September 8th to 13th in Faak am See. To avoid the blues striking in winter, Harley-Davidson also strongly recommends visiting the “Custombike” trade fair ( www.custombike-show.de ), which is taking place in Bad Salzuflen from December 4th to 6th.
Anyone who wants to float comfortably on a plane and enjoy fun with their own bike and with like-minded people in fantastic holiday locations should consider www.sks-reisen.de , the Algarve Run in Ria Formosa at the end of May and beginning of June and the Mallorca Bike Week in November. Safe motorcycle transport there and back by truck is already included in the all-round worry-free package.
