Ewald Suck – The first and oldest Harley-Davidson dealer has died.
On May 18, 2017, the oldest German Harley-Davidson dealer, Ewald Suck from Hamburg, died. He was a second-generation Harley-Davidson dealer based in Hamburg until the end of 2012.
His father Georg Suck imported and offered the first Harley-Davidson models to Germany in 1910, which resulted in the first Harley Davidson dealer location in Germany in Hamburg in 1924.
After his father's death, Ewald Suck and his wife ran the store in Hamburg on Amsinckstrasse from 1961 onwards. The Suck family ran the business in Hamburg for 88 years until they ended the contract with the Harley-Davidson Company at the end of 2012.
He spent his whole life with the sound of the loud V2 engines, now he has left us quietly.
