Fatal motorcycle accident in Zweibrücken on July 1st, 2018 on October 14th, 2020 again topic in “File number XY unresolved”

Zweibrücken/Munich - In a serious traffic accident on July 1, 2018 on the federal highway 8 near Zweibrücken in the extreme southwest of Rhineland-Palatinate on the border with Saarland, the 13-year-old pillion passenger of a then 37-year-old motorcyclist was killed. The motorcyclist himself was seriously injured when he fell onto the highway and his motorcycle burst into flames.

The previously unknown driver of the vehicle that caused the accident - according to witnesses, a white Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedan, possibly a convertible - fled after the collision with the motorcycle at high speed towards Saarland. Despite an extensive search, neither the vehicle has been found nor the person responsible for the accident identified.
