Fehmarn Days of American Bikes 2020 are canceled
The Fehmarn Days of American Bikes , from August 28th to 30th, 2020, have been canceled for a long time. This hasn't really been clearly visible on the internet in the last few days.
Harleysite is receiving more and more inquiries about whether the cancellation is really canceled or what can be expected on the island of Fehmarn. At traditional events, similar to Lake Faak, it is difficult to answer exactly what awaits us there. My sources say there are already around 150 Harleys on the island of Fehmarn.
These are bikers who have been spending their planned vacation on the island with their motorcycle for years and have booked long-term in advance at the campsites and accommodations.
Until yesterday, the appointment was still floating around sporadically on the Internet, but the appointment has now also been canceled on the Fehmarn.de .
The key point is at Wisser's Hotel , there are a few more benches approved than usual, but that's it.
There are a lot of tourists on the island
And now we come to the actual problem. The island is full of tourists and if the weather is sunny on Saturday, you can expect a lot of problems. Because the market square is not closed to motorcycles as usual and if only 500 motorcycles show up there, it will be tight.
Not only the tourists and motorcyclists will be there, but it is the job of the state police to ensure that the Corona rules are adhered to. This means that a distance of 1.50 m from other people must be maintained and it can already be assumed that the authorities will keep an eye on the situation.
As I said, it is not the crew of the small police station who will be there to watch out, the state police will be there and monitor the situation. Apparently people are a little nervous and don't want to experience a second Hollister there if bikers want to conquer the city and parking lots. I think this scenario is a bit far-fetched, but it could still be quite close on Saturday if the weather is good.
It's not an event, but a meeting in a public space. As long as you wear a mask and keep your distance, there will certainly be nothing going on.
