Fred Kodlin inducted into the Sturgis Motorcycle Hall of Fame!
Honor where honor is due: On August 11, 2021, master customizer Fred Kodlin was honored to become a member of the Motorcycle Hall of Fame in Sturgis.
A special honor for everyone in the motorcycle scene, but especially for customizers, not to mention that Fred Kodlin is the first German and international customizer (inducted in 2003: Gottlieb Daimler...) to be inducted into the Hall of Honor of the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum on the legendary Sturgis Main Street.
Every year, the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame nominates a number of well-known personalities from the motorcycle world, who then find a place of honor in the museum's gallery. Each recipient receives a ring made specifically for him/her, which is presented at the ceremony during a breakfast in Deadwood, SD.
Everyone can imagine that this honor is not without difficulties in Corona times: Despite the existing Kodlin branch Kodlin USA (kodlinusa.com) in Morgan Hill/California, entry into the USA required a special permit from the governor of South Dakota , Kristi Noem.
Fred and his team then traditionally started their Sturgis ride from the west coast in California: together with the members of the “Hamsters” motorcycle club, who roll to Sturgis every year on two wheels from all directions. After several days “on tour”, Fred and his team were not only able to experience the rally itself without limits, but also accept the honor for his work. Congratulations!
