Freiburg Police Headquarters: Waldshut and Lörrach districts: Motorcycle and car checks at the weekend in the southern Black Forest

The traffic police from Weil and Waldshut carried out several traffic checks in the Black Forest on Sunday, 02.07.2023. The main focus was on violations by motorcyclists in the districts of Waldshut and Lörrach.

During checks between Todtnau and Notschrei; Todtnau and Feldbergpass, as well as in Schlechtbach, 58 motorcyclists were checked. There were 25 complaints. These ranged from not carrying papers to modified bikes, which were therefore too loud, to various traffic violations. One car driver was also found to be driving at a significantly excessive speed. The checks were carried out together with police officers from the Basel-Land Cantonal Police.

During checks carried out together with employees of the district office in the Waldshut district on Sunday in Bernau and Todtmoos, 16 infringements were recorded for 59 motorcycles and 12 cars. The top speed offender here was a car driving 72 km/h instead of the permitted 50 km/h in urban areas.

Further checks are also planned for the coming weekends.
