Pretty much best friends
From August 8th to 10th, the Hessian Wasserkuppe Friendship Ride Germany will take place on the Hessian Wasserkuppe
• Bikes, party and music for all motorcyclists and fans
• Big Harley-Davidson test drive campaign
• Net proceeds go to charitable purposes
Which is the most beautiful landscape in Hesse?
The hr television viewers agreed: the Rhön. Wild moors, deep forests and gentle hilltops from which the view extends far into the distance characterize this unspoilt region, which has been declared a biosphere reserve by UNESCO.
Once a year, motorcyclists of all brands as well as party and music fans meet here to celebrate a huge party high up on Hesse's mightiest mountain, the Wasserkuppe.
From August 8th to 10th, 2014 it will be that time again. The sixth Friendship Ride Germany gets underway. Numerous Harley dealers and traders will present their bikes as well as clothing and accessories on the extensive event site. The caterers from the “Rhöner Charme” gastronomy association work to combat hunger and thirst – with a culinary offering that is unrivaled at events.
Point Alpha, Boppin' B, Fellow Men, Full Flavour, Die faten Kinder, Whitewallers and Cashley are the names of the bands that will thrill music fans live on stage. Meanwhile, adrenaline junkies can enjoy the breathtaking shows of motorcycle stuntman Rainer Schwarz.
Meanwhile, in the event entrance area, a whole armada of test ride bikes is waiting to take on the winding roads around the Wasserkuppe. For this purpose, Harley-Davidson will arrive with a large truck full of machines that can be driven from morning to night - a driving license is enough!
If you don't have the latter in your pocket yet, you can hop on the surprisingly authentic Jump Start driving simulator. And so that the young ones also get their money's worth, a kids area with an inflatable climbing mountain will make little fans' eyes wide open on Sunday.
During the day, the fascinating surroundings are always worth a two-wheeled excursion. The Fulda-Rhön Chapter therefore offers five guided tours on which guests from near and far get to know the most beautiful routes in the region.
The guests who arrived by motorbike will certainly not miss a sixth excursion: the big parade through the Rhön and the episcopal city of Fulda - traditionally a highlight of the Friendship Ride, which is cheered on by the population every year.
For 15 euros you can get an entry ticket for all three days. Day tickets cost 10 euros each on Friday and Saturday and 5 euros on Sunday. The money is well spent - not only because the event puts you in a good mood surrounded by old and new friends, but also because, as in previous years, the net proceeds go to charitable causes.
After all, the word friendship is very important in every respect at this event.
