Only good things in mind

The Friendship Ride Germany 2011 raised 14,600 euros for a good cause, and from August 10 to 12, 2012, it's party time again on the Wasserkuppe.

Every year, one of the most popular events in the Harley event calendar proves that „doing good“ and „having fun“ are by no means mutually exclusive. We are talking about the Friendship Ride Germany near Fulda in the Hessian Rhön. The mega party, which has been taking place since 2009, is as extraordinary as the venue on Hesse's highest mountain, because unlike most other motorcycle events, it is not only the supporting program but also the donation program that ensures a great atmosphere: as the net proceeds go to charitable organizations, guests enjoy not only a cool party but also the certainty of having made a contribution to a good cause.

Harley-Davidson Germany and the H.O.G. Chapter Fulda-Rhön have now handed over the proceeds from the 2011 event. 10,950 euros went to the German Society for Muscle Diseases (D.G.M. e.V.), which is dedicated to researching and combating muscle diseases. A further 3,650 euros went to the youth education centre on the Wasserkuppe, which organizes leisure activities for kids and young people.

Of course there will also be celebrations in the Rhön in 2012: From August 10 to 12, it's off to the Wasserkuppe again!

Visitors can expect powerful stunt shows, demo rides on the latest Milwaukee-Irons, a dealer mile with everything the Harley heart desires and, of course, lots of music and good vibrations. Once again, the unique parade, which will take hundreds of bikers along the most beautiful roads around the Wasserkuppe, promises to be a special highlight. And fans of good food can look forward to the delicacies of the „Rhöner Charme“ catering association, whose catering stands offer a range of dishes that goes far beyond conventional snack standards.

Harley-Davidson warmly welcomes all visitors to the Wasserkuppe, regardless of which brand the biker's heart beats for and regardless of whether you arrive at the party on your bike or in a shuttle bus. The admission ticket costs 10 euros, and one thing is for sure: you can only get so much good stuff at this price at the Friendship Ride Germany!
