(Neu-Isenburg, May 2nd, 2018) Everything used to be better? Not at all! Around 1900 the roads were mostly bad and the distances were often insurmountable - a bad combination.
But young autodidacts like Messrs. Harley and Davidson set out to build vehicles that could get from A to B as comfortably and stress-free as possible. In 1903 they sold their first three motorcycles. Millions were to follow and today Harley-Davidson is considered the most traditional motorcycle manufacturer in the world. Other suppliers came and went, but Harley-Davidson stayed – for 115 years now. Of course this has to be celebrated! In Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the home of the US company, the birthday party will take place from August 29th to September 2nd and all European fans of the brand can look forward to a mega party in Prague from July 5th to 8th . In addition to 115 years of Harley-Davidson, there is also 35 years of the Harley Owners Group and the 90th birthday of the Harley-Davidson Club Prague to celebrate.
The epicenter of the event in the Czech capital is the exhibition grounds in the Holešovice district. In addition to regional cuisine specialties and perhaps the best beer in the world, here you will find plenty of attractions for V-Twin fans young and old. These include the Family Paradise, which offers children fun and excitement, the Dark Custom Area with bungee jumping, skate park and freestyle motocross, the HOG Village with its own Jack Daniel's area, the Jeep Touring Zone with the latest innovations from US off-road Specialists and of course bikes, bikes and more bikes. In addition to a large exhibition of the current models from Milwaukee, which can also be test driven, the Motor Company presents a museum in which visitors can delve deep into the history of the brand. There are treats for fans of customized machines at the big custom bike show as well as at the Prague Custom Battle 2018, and the stunt shows promise some adrenaline rush with their wheelies, stoppies and burnouts.
The focus of a motorcycle event is of course the motorcycling itself and that starts with the journey, because fans from all over the world make their way to the Czech capital - including around 100 authorized dealers who travel together with customers and employees. On site, visitors put their driving talent to the test at the biker games and roll through Prague in the big parade. And because both the city and its Bohemian surroundings have a lot to offer, you can embark on fascinating journeys of discovery on guided tours or on recommended routes.
Since a Harley party is unthinkable without music, the company is also going strong in this regard: more than 40 live bands provide the soundtrack to the event. Anyone who arrives a day earlier also has the chance to experience a very special start to the event, as the greatest rock band of all time will be performing in Prague on July 4th: The Rolling Stones on their “No Filter” Tour station at the Prague-Letňany airfield – let's say it with Mick Jagger: It's only Rock 'n' Roll (but I like it)!
