Cascais welcomes the European Harley family for the third time

From June 18 to 21, 2026, the Portuguese coastal town of Cascais will become the hub of the European Harley-Davidson community. The 32nd European H.O.G. Rally returns to the Atlantic coast after appearances in 2012 and 2019, replacing the 2025 edition in Croatia, which attracted more than 30,000 visitors. This is Cascais' third time hosting one of the most important motorcycle rallies in Europe.

Why Cascais

Cascais is located around 30 kilometers west of Lisbon, directly on the Atlantic coast and in the immediate vicinity of the official Harley-Davidson Lisbon dealership. The town combines historic harbor charm with modern tourism and offers enough hotels, restaurants and squares to support an event of this size. The short distance to Lisbon International Airport also makes it attractive to travel to, and the mild weather in June is one of the most stable conditions on the entire southern European coast.

The 2026 program at a glance

The European H.O.G. Rally 2026 follows the proven mix of previous years. The H-D Expo will take center stage with all new models for the 2026 model year, including live presentations of the current Touring and Custom model series. Live concerts will take place on the Main Stage on three evenings, admission is free of charge. The H.O.G. Zone serves as a central meeting point for chapters from all over Europe, as well as test rides, a large parade with thousands of machines through Cascais and the region and an extensive custom, parts and merchandise zone with European dealers and exhibitors.

Cascais as a tour starting point

Cascais is more than just an event location. The region is one of the most beautiful motorcycling areas in southern Europe. The Boca do Inferno cliffs open up right on the outskirts of the town, a popular photo stop between two events. A few kilometers further on, the mountain road to Sintra begins, whose historic center is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. If you allow more time, you can reach Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of mainland Europe, in around 25 minutes. The Marginal coastal road to Lisbon is one of the most famous passages in the region and can easily be taken on a free afternoon.

Arrival from Germany

If you plan to travel on your own, the direct route covers around 2,500 kilometers. The classic route runs through France, across northern Spain or the Spanish interior and finally across the Portuguese border to the Atlantic coast. For most German chapters, this means three to four daily stages, usually with stopovers in southern France and northern Spain. Alternatively, the tour can be realized as a combined flight and rental route. Experience has shown that Harley-Davidson Lisbon offers rental contingents during the rally, which should be reserved well in advance.

Free admission, program open to all

The European H.O.G. Rally is an open event. Admission to all program items is free of charge and membership in the Harley Owners Group is not required. The event is therefore aimed equally at active H.O.G. members, chapter guests, new riders and anyone interested in the brand and the community. Visitors can take part in test drives on site, inspect the new models or join the program on the Main Stage. This also makes the rally attractive for day visitors traveling from the Algarve or the greater Lisbon area.
