(Neu-Isenburg, June 25, 2017) The fruit, vegetable and flower transporters are rolling around the Hamburg wholesale market again. The dreary everyday life has returned for 470 market companies. From June 23rd to 25th, despite the mixed weather in northern Germany, there was a joyful state of emergency here: around 400,000 fans enjoyed the unique atmosphere with a view of Hafencity and the Elbphilharmonie and countless motorcycles took to the asphalt of Main Street in the tent city of Harley Village.
at the stands of Harley-Davidson authorized dealers , independent traders and caterers, and in the customer experience area almost all models from Milwaukee could be admired and test driven. The brand new machines covered kilometer after kilometer on their speedometers: the employees of the test drive team counted a total of 350 “demo rides”.
The exclusive motorcycle conversions at the Dark Custom Stand, in the Customizer and in the Ride-In Bike Show also offered plenty of material for talking shop, where around 50 classic or exquisitely customized machines competed against each other in eight categories on Saturday compete.
The motorcycle acrobatics in the wooden cauldron of Pitt's wall of death also guaranteed incredulous astonished eyes. The experienced steep wall professionals were guests at the Hamburg Harley Days for the first time and, among other things, rode the new Harley-Davidson Street Rod . Adrenaline could then be worked off in front of the two stages of the Village, where 18 bands produced sounds in the style of Harley-Davidson - including the acclaimed top acts “The Dead Daises” and “Thundermother”. Friday-Saturday night, the event ended on the wholesale market grounds with a furious fireworks display before the celebrations continued in Sankt Pauli: At the side location of the event on Spielbudenplatz, night was turned into day twice in a row.
Among the celebrities who were spotted at the event site, in addition to comic artist Rötger “Brösel” Feldmann, was also rock star Peter Maffay , who insisted on leading the big parade in which around 8,000 bikers took part in an acclaimed maxi lap on Sunday filmed through the Hanseatic city - including over the Reeperbahn and the Köhlbrand Bridge.
In the meantime, the Harley party wave continues to roll on – via Lugano, Dresden, Hattingen, Bad Tölz to Faak. It is a matter of honor that Harley-Davidson comes back to Hamburg. The company is already looking forward to 2018.
