Harley-Days 2011 | Full house again in Hamburg!!!

There they were again, after the great trepidation as to whether they would take place at all, three impressive Harley Days are now over. They were once again a complete success, the weather was a bit mixed, but it wasn't bad enough to stop Harley bikers from visiting the Harley Days. In the large expo tent, the latest models could be examined very closely, including test rides and photo shoots, and there was a huge rush to see the beautiful machines. 

A colorful mixture of normal visitors and bizarre biker types strolled through the wholesale market at the weekend, plenty of entertainment was announced on the big stage, the band VanWolfen with Micky Wolf, one of the best guitarists ever, provided really dirty rock on the Harley Days stage and a few pretty girls were not to be missed.

This year, Jack Daniels set up a Kenwood truck as a bar next to the stage, from where you naturally had a perfect view of the stage. In addition to the music, there were also great bikes to see, especially in the artists' tent where there were once again many special exhibitors to marvel at. 

In addition to his well-known pictures, Michael Knepper presented the Out of Hell Chopper together with Anatol Egbuna, certainly one of the most photographed bikes this weekend. The extraordinary chopper was built by Michael Knepper and Anatol Egbuna from Custom-Metal according to their own designs. Danny Schramm from Schrammwerk is an ace when it comes to airbrushing and car wrapping. He was also represented in the artists' tent and presented his current projects on stage. His special commission was a bike that was trimmed in jeans as a special feature, even when you touched it you had the feeling of holding a pair of jeans in your hand. 

But it doesn't help, if you want to see the show, action and the real Harley world, you have to go over to the Reeperbahn in the evening, arriving on time ensures the best seats and you can take that literally, some tables and chairs are occupied from Friday to Sunday, or rather, they are occupied!

No wonder, there is so much to see and you only have to wait, everyone who has something to show drives up and down the Reeperbahn at least once! And if everything goes well and they don't do anything wrong while showing off on the Reeperbahn, they can do it all without a ticket. Reeperbahn does not mean that there is no order there, the police have the necessary tact and sensitivity to ensure that everything stays within the permitted limits.

Am Sonntag gab es die Ausfahrt, die gemeinsam mit dem MoGo organisiert und durchgeführt wurde. Das hatte dann zur Folge, das um die 35.000 tsd Bikes am Sonntag in Hamburg unterwegs waren und man sich auch nicht scheute die A7 zu sperren, da gehört natürlich schon was zu und das hat wohl auch nicht jeden erfreut, aber man versucht immer die Belastungen für unbeteiligte so gering wie möglich zu halten. Die Straßenränder und Brücken waren von zahlreichen Zuschauern besetzt, die den Bikern zuwinkten und zahlreiche Fotos und Videos gemacht haben.

Die Harley-Days waren wieder ein Erfolg und für die nächsten vier Jahre sind sie in Hamburg auf dem Großmarkt gesichert, den Termin für 2012 wird bekannt hier geben, sobald er fest steht, der nächste große Event im Norden wird in Lübeck sein, das Hanse-Weekend Lübeck entwickelt sich ebenso zu einer festen Größe in Szene, von seiner Art etwas anders als Hamburg, mehr Livemusik, Custom bikes und viele Showeinlagen geben dem Event einen besonderen Charakter.

Dieses Jahr wird erstmals auch Habermann-Performance in Lübeck ausstellen, auch in Lübeck ist der Eintritt frei. Das ist auch irgendwie das schöne, das jede Veranstaltung wie auch die European Bike Week at Lake Faak  für Harley Fahrer ihren eigenen Stil hat. Und genau das ist es auch, was jede Harley zu etwas besonderem macht, keine ist wie die andere!  Lets Rock 2011
