Harley Days 2011 | Full house again in Hamburg!!!
That's it again, after the great trepidation about whether it would even take place, three impressive Harley days are now over. They were a complete success again, the weather was a bit mixed, but it wasn't so bad that it stopped Harley bikers from visiting the Harley Days. The current models could be examined closely in the large Expo tent, including test sitting and a photo shoot. There was a huge rush for the beautiful machines.
A colorful mix of normal visitors and bizarre biker types strolled through the wholesale market at the weekend, there was plenty of entertainment on the big stage, the band VanWolfen with Micky Wolf, one of the best guitarists ever, provided really dirty rock on the Harley Days stage and a few pretty girls couldn't be missing either.
This year Jack Daniels positioned itself as a bar next to the stage with a converted Kenwood truck, from where you of course had a perfect view of the stage. In addition to the music, there were also good bikes to see, and there were many special exhibitors to admire, especially in the artists' tent.
In addition to his well-known pictures, Michael Knepper and Anatol Egbuna presented the Out of Hell Chopper, certainly one of the most photographed bikes this weekend. Michael Knepper and Anatol Egbuna from Custom-Metal built the extraordinary chopper based on their own designs. An ace in the field of airbrushing and car wrapping is Danny Schramm from Schrammwerk, who was also represented in the artists' tent and also presented his current projects on stage. His special order was a bike that, as a special feature, was trimmed for jeans; even when you touched it you had the feeling of having jeans in your hand.
But it doesn't help, anyone who wanted to see the show, action and the real Harley world had to go over to the Reeperbahn in the evening, arriving on time ensures the best seats and you can take that literally, some tables and chairs are occupied from Friday to Sunday , or rather, they are inhabited!
No wonder, there is so much to see and all you have to do is wait, everyone who has something to show goes up and down the Reeperbahn at least once! And if everything goes well and he doesn't get into any wrongdoing while being a celebrity on the Reeperbahn, he'll do it all without getting a ticket. Reeperbahn does not mean that there is no order there, the police have used the necessary sensitivity to ensure that everything remains within the limits of what is permitted.
On Sunday there was the excursion, which was organized and carried out together with MoGo. As a result, around 35,000 thousand bikes were on the road in Hamburg and they weren't afraid to close the A7, of course that's something to do and that probably didn't please everyone, but they always try to cope with the burden for bystanders to be kept as low as possible. The roadsides and bridges were occupied by numerous spectators who waved to the bikers and took numerous photos and videos.
The Harley Days were once again a success and they are secured at the wholesale market in Hamburg for the next four years. The date for 2012 will be announced here as soon as it is fixed. The next big event in the north will be in Lübeck, the Hanseatic League -Weekend Lübeck is also developing into a permanent fixture in the scene, somewhat different in nature than Hamburg, more live music, custom bikes and many shows give the event a special character.
This year Habermann-Performance will also be exhibiting in Lübeck for the first time, and entry is also free in Lübeck. That's somehow the nice thing that every event, like the European Bike Week at Lake Faaker See, has its own style for Harley riders. And that's exactly what makes every Harley something special, no one is like the other! Let's Rock 2011
