Hamburg Harley Days and the next Harley-Davidson events in 2024
A short feedback on the Hamburg Harley Days 2024 and which my next Harley-Davidson events that I have on the road map this month.
The next Hamburg Harley Days, are used by the June 27 to 29, 2025 will take place. For the early bookers among us, this is probably the most important information to start with. Here is the Link to Booking .com,1 For long-term bookings, I would always recommend using the cancelation option, so that everyone is on the safe side in case something changes on the date.
Feedback on the Hamburg Harley Days
The Hamburg Harley Days were basically good. It started a little late on Friday, but the place was well filled from 18:00. Thursday with its thunderstorms certainly put some bikers off going to the north. But on Friday and Saturday we had the best weather in the Hanseatic city. Sunday was rather overcast, with light rain.
Fortunately, the predicted rain chaos for the parade didn't materialize. I was standing with two friends and we had looked at three different weather apps. All of them indicated doom and gloom. You can really forget about that - in the end it was only light rain for a short time. The parade was on the brink because of the weather forecast, the decision was only made very shortly before the start when it was clear that the predicted heavy rain would not come and was then carried out after all. Around 1500 bikers came to do the tour over the Köhlbrand Bridge. The organizer was supported by the Metropolitan Chapter, which provided a correspondingly large number of blockers.
The bands were in demand, there was always a lot going on in front of the stages, a good music program was just as interesting as the many beautiful bikes. On Saturday, the soccer match was also broadcast, but the weather was really great.
What I didn't like so much was the ticket and wristband concept, many people drove past the ticket office with their online code. You have to exchange the code for the wristband before you can enter the site. This is difficult, because if you send them beforehand, there are suddenly noisy copies. The best way to solve this would probably be with an app.
You could already see in the Harley Days Facebook event that there were many supposed ticket offers from private individuals. Unfortunately, it was almost impossible to get to grips with the spam because they were constantly posting their fake offers. As far as admission was concerned, there was little criticism this year, as I said, only the issue with the wristbands and some people missed the fireworks. The police were particularly busy on Friday, using civilian vehicles to pick up their potential customers - someone always gets caught, but we've seen it all before in the past.
Although we had very good weather on Friday and Saturday, the thunderstorms in the south and the bad forecasts were probably responsible for the fact that it was well filled, but not really full throughout. Saturday was great, many last-minute visitors came by, as you could see from the traffic jam in front of the ticket booth, otherwise they would all have already had a ticket. I liked it, you always meet lots of people and the best thing is all the bikes that we all want to see.
SWISS HARLEY DAYS 2024
My next tour is going to Switzerland this week to the Swiss Harley Days in Lugano. The event only takes place every two years and I've never been there before, but now there's the full program. From July 5 to 7, 2024, several thousand Harley bikers are expected in the beautiful Swiss town. For the first time, Harley-Davidson will be presenting the „Andermatt Freedom Ride“ on July 4 in Andermatt.
The event on the Piazza Gottardo in front of the Radisson Blu marks the start of the Swiss Harley Days 2024. Another highlight is the joint ride over the Gotthard to Lugano on July 5 - the official „Ride In“ to the Swiss Harley Days 2024. BIKE DAYS WILLINGEN
From 11 to 14 July 2024, it's all happening in Willingen, the new organizers this year are the shooting stars of the scene. Born out of necessity, the small town in the Sauerland region has formed such a cohesive team to keep the event, which was canceled by its predecessors, alive after all. I was there to get an impression of the new organizers. I'm sure I won't burn my fingers putting in a good word for them. The event will be better than before!
They have pulled everything together and even thought about the European Championship final on Sunday. Because they are going into extra time and showing the final on the big screen at the event site on Sunday. So nobody has to miss the game, public viewing makes it possible, the best thing is to go into extra time yourself and stay until Monday.
Warsteiner Balloon Glow, will provide the right atmosphere in the evening. There are many exhibitors and Harley-Davidson is supporting the event through its authorized Harley-Davidson dealers Pfeiffer and MotoMaxx. There's talk that the whole place will be branded Harley-Davidson, so I'm looking forward to what's to come. There are still limited VIP Park tickets Seats offered for 12€.
According to my information, Harley-Davidson officials will also be there to get an impression of the event, to see whether the event will be fully integrated into the official Harley-Davidson world next year. For such a small place, that would be a great recognition, and Harley-Davidson is already providing an extraordinary amount of support.
Anyway, I have Willingen on my road map and will be there, I'm curious to see what happens there.

Harley Days Dresden
The Harley Days Dresden will take place again from July 26 to 28, 2024. The beautiful, or perhaps even the most beautiful city in the east of the republic, awaits us bikers again on the large open-air site, at the Rinne. There is an extensive program and so far I have always seen many very unusual and very beautiful Harleys there.
The Custombike Show is one of the absolute highlights, but the biggest event is the big Harley-Davidson parade on Sunday, which runs through the middle of Dresden. Here, too, such a large parade would not work without the help of the local chapter. Together with the authorities, the H.O.G. Dresden Chapter ensures that everything runs smoothly. Not to forget the beautiful surroundings of Dresden. You can easily spend a week here exploring the city itself and the surrounding area. There's a lot to experience this month. Remember, just working doesn't make you happy either. Do something, even if it's just a few days away from the daily grind. This often gives you more energy for your tasks than staying stuck in your everyday life!
