Hamburg is turning up the heat: Harley Days with a strong comeback after the pandemic break
NEU-ISENBURG, June 27, 2022 – Around 50,000 visitors came to the Hamburg wholesale market site last weekend to experience the 19th edition of the Hamburg Harley® Days live.
These included prominent bikers such as Miriam Höller, Julia Dorny, Simon Böer, Till Demtrøder, Eddi Kante and Fabian Zahrt. Bikers and interested parties could marvel at up to 15,000 bikes on the festival grounds. Under the motto “More Bike. More style. More Harley.” they celebrated the 119th founding anniversary of the legendary motorcycle brand from Milwaukee. The Hamburg Harley® Days have been a fixture in the Hanseatic city's event calendar since 2003.
Insights into the Harley® world
The Harley® Village was the central location of the event on around 40,000 square meters of space in the Hamburg wholesale market. Fans and riders were treated to a lot here: with the Sport, Cruiser, Adventure Touring and Grand American Touring segments, spectators were able to discover the diverse world of Harley-Davidson®.
Many bikers took the opportunity to test drive one of the current model highlights and experience the Harley® feeling for themselves. The new releases in the 2022 model year include the Grand American Touring models Street GlideTM ST and Road GlideTM ST, the new Cruiser Low RiderTM ST and the new NightsterTM from the sports segment.
Rocking sounds and fast-paced live shows
18 bands and music acts performed on two large stages, including Marco Mendoza, Jimmy Cornett & The Deadmen, The Whiskey Hell and 5th Avenue. In addition to the Harley® Stage, artists offered a very special rockabilly-style program on the new Rockabilly Rulz live stage. The Polish stuntman Maciej “DOP” Bielicki made the tires of his machine smoke and showed impressive driving skills in his show.
At the traditional highlight of the Hamburg Harley® Days, 4,000 bikers joined together on Sunday afternoon for the big parade, led by Miriam Höller, Julia Dorny, Simon Böer, Till Demtrøder, Eddi Kante and Fabian Zahrt, through the city of Hamburg.
“The Hamburg Harley Days are much more than a motorcycle show,” says Kolja Rebstock, Vice President EMEA and Managing Director Harley-Davidson® Germany, Austria and
Switzerland.
“Together with our community and all motorcycle fans, whether with a Harley or without, we celebrate our passion and love for bikes. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year and celebrating the 120th anniversary of Harley-Davidson®.”
